Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm wondering if its the same as whats in the current GC. When I went the store a few minutes ago I looked at my trim, it doesn't look like its pure brush aluminum. jgc4ever have you noticed your interior not having a solid silver/brushed aluminum look?

Re: tires offered on 2014 models Limited, Overland, and Summit:

I was looking up the tires offered on the models above and noticed that the Standard tire offered on both the Overland and Summit (Goodyear Fortera HL 265/50/R20) is actually less money retail at Tirerack.com $127 each

Goodyear*Fortera HL Edition

vs standard tire on the Limited (Michelin Latitude Tour HP 265/60/R18) $263 each.....

Michelin*Latitude Tour HP

what is up with that?

Ok? That may have been a requirement for tire size among other things.

Also, Chrysler does not pay retail.

This is just a really loaded question that we can speculate for the next two weeks about... And won't get anywhere.

What on/off road tires are part of the Off Road Adventure II package?

Thanks.

I know the size, but wanted to know what tire they use. I don't believe the standard tire on the Limited is an off road tire,

If they are using Michelin, the Michelin LTX A/T2 is an a/s on/off road. But so far, the only thing I found is the size.

But still the top of the line model should have the top of the line tire right. I think this is bullshit if you ask me. Really the summit is a 50k SUV......

You're right, it's not an off road tire. Sadly that is the tire that comes with the Off Road Adventure package.

I was hoping that would have changed for 2014. But the press release images of the Limited had the trail rated badge and the same Michelin Lattitudes.

On the 13s, according to Jeep.com, the Limited came with a BSW, and the off road packages came with OWL. They didn't say what tire it was, but there was a distinction, so it might have been a different tire.

It would be a shame if Jeep takes a regular A/S tire and decides to add 'off road' to their description, even if the tire manufacturer doesn't. Unless they make a special edition for Jeep, Michelin rates the Latitude Tour HP a 3 out of ten for off road.

And no flipper glass or standard cd player ...
