I was told the ones on the Jeep flip up and down - sounds similar to those on the current Cadillac SRX.

So lets hope not because that looks retarded and after-markertish for Mercedes. It wasn't well thought out. I think a better option would be for them to actually mount them within the seat and they raise up from the seat. This is also helps with hiding them so they wont get stolen from the car because no one will no that its there from first glance!

What's that out of?

FWIW, my '11 Overland has cupholders in the center armrest like that.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see what you're talking about now. a little table that flips down from the seat, very clever.

It looks a little bulky for OEM of a luxury automaker. It could be sleeker and imperceptible rather than stocky and noticeable. As I stated, hopefully Chrysler designs it a little better.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So this from a Rolls Royce....Of course I know a Jeep will be no where near this or many other car for that matter but its just about executing a sleek design which everyone can do. When in resting position the back cover is the wood to match the rest of the car and it folds completely flush to the back of the seat. The one going in the JGC should be covered by leather and be flush as well. (**This is a design argument solely**)

The first (pilot build) NAFTA "EcoDiesel" rolled off the line this month. I'm not sure how many more have been built, but I'm sure there's more than one out there!

Is this the US diesel basically? Heard anything about when order banks will open for the diesel and expected startup/delivery?

I thought it was supposed to be available at launch with everything else, but now others are saying it will be a couple months later...

Hemi coming with the 8 speed right? That should give us a few more MPGs no? Like 15/22 maybe eh? And drop a second or so off the 0-60. Thats what I am excited about..

I really hope the info is accurate so I can get the order in for Dec. 5th. My girl has a real hatred for sunroofs so I can only order the Laredo with options. But I never use em so I don't care either..

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I thought I saw pricing on the MY14 JGC's but can't find it any more.

Anyone point me to that or did I have a senior moment?
