Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I respect the knowledge a group of like minded people gathered here might offer to a fellow Jeep owner about to make,or not make, the purchase of a new JGC.ON one hand,we have some sweet deals on 2012 Altitudes which I think I like. And on the other hand is the much anticipated 2014 with all the new stuff.I have a 70th Edition JGC black with 10,000 miles on it .very clean.Which way would be smart? I'm like a kid in a candy store.Your thoughts PLEASE...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

The number 8 is keeping me waiting for the '14

8 speed tranny

8" nav/radio screen

My current vehicle has an 8" nav screen. When I sat in a 2013 Overland the other day I told the dealer, when the 14's are in, give me a call.

The biggest change would be the guts of the deal- diesel with 8 speed. If that's not necessary go for the sweet dealio! It also would matter if you're upside down on your current JGC and what you'd get for it.

Yes, U.S. model. Production start estimate late March. Not sure yet if it will be listed for initial ordering on 12/05/12... stay tuned for updates.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Have they released any torque/hp curves yet ? Am curious if V6 is going to be peakier & maybe not wind as high to match the 8 speed.

I was hoping it wasn't the senior moment. I was looking forward to the prices. Oh well, I guess we will have to wait until ordering...

I'm still curious to know if the 5.7 HEMI will get a little power-boost for MY14...

No specs yet, that information is usually held until the last minute after all of the final testing is done.

No word yet, if any increase is planned it would be minimal.
