Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Does the market really dictate that there have to be so many Pearl coat colors? Does the company that produces the pearl paints have some special contract with the Auto manufacturers? I just want to get a Grand Cherokee in PX8 black. Why can't I?

You should beg, cheat and steal to see Mumford if you can. Their show is amazing, they clearly love what they do and they manage to make even large venues feel intimate.

Contrarily, early builds will probably be higher quality this time around, which isn't typical. The best time to buy a new/refreshed model is usually the 2nd or 3rd year in. But bc most of what had been built up to the "great catastrophe," was brought back into the plant to be rechecked, and in many cases re-assembled with new parts, you could say the QC on these is better.

Line speed also plays a part in this.. The line runs very slow at big launches, then picks up gradually. That's when things CAN get laxed. But on the other hand, over time part quality goes up. As well as engineering advancements. For instance, I doubt anybody's '12 SRT could outrun my September build '13, and for the few months I had mine, I never had any of the problems with fitment and weird noises and crap that some on here have complained about. So it goes both ways..

So basically I'd say you guys will be safe.. FWIW, if I was sold on getting another one right now, I'd have an order in too. I don't buy into the "let em work the bugs out" theory, I just have other things going on right now that take priority in my life...

*sigh* If only I could convince her to just go down to the courthouse, and move in with me, instead of all this wedding and "new" house bs... Women.

Hey Robo,
I noticed your signature states you have ordered an Overland. Have you found out something no-one else knows. Your signature used to report that you have ordered a Jeep Grand Cherokee "something". Dealers here still don't know we are getting a Summit. The Aussie Overland was in fact a Summit so does that mean you have locked in an Overland or a Summit?

Hey Chevy, did yours receive any "special treatment" when it went down the line?

in my case she wanted an older house with charm... well "the other" got it and now I'm paying for it. she knows the next time something major happens in this house its bye bye shitty old fixer upper and helloo Condo or a house built to our specifications. I really would rather just rent a home.freaking nightmare LOL
