Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Milous I've asked this before and I'm going to ask again LOL. Has there been any inkling to Jeep deciding to bring the S-limited to the US?

I'm sorry, but an average of say $45k for these cars is still expensive in my book, and when you pay that kinda money I feel like you deserve to be in the loop. Who cares if the competitors cars cost double that.. $50k is still a lot of money for a set of keyfobs, a mere handshake, and MAYBE a full tank of gas. So I try to give a lil more...

But basically we've had some significant setbacks with this launch, however the QC buffer, if you will, has shown its importance, and will allow these things to be shipped out on time as if nothing ever happened. Instead of being certified and just sitting out in the lot for a month, these cars were, ummm -- recertified with updated parts.

So early orderers (<<< probably not a word) will get their Jeeps on time, and those who aren't regulars to this thread will never be the wiser..

Thanks for the update, we appreciate all the transparency and honesty. It feels great knowing you guys are going the extra mile to make sure it is perfect when it gets into my driveway

It looks as though I am going to have to order the CRD sight unseen. The descriptions of the interiors and the photos on Jeep's site do not do them justice. I have attached photos of the Brown/Indego Blue Overland interior and the Summit Brown interior that I found on the net. I just have been unable to find good pictures of Brown / Light Frost.

I think Brown/Light Frost is essentially the same as the current interior. IMHO Jeep has terrible interior colors. The only exciting interior was "Saddle" which they took out.

Black - just to dark

Beige - it is really white if you ask me, wish it was more cream/beige color.

Indigo is interesting and probably my choice now but still dark

Brown on Summit ... blah ... that thing is ugly like a rainy day in November.

I think Sepia from SRT is actually pretty nice but SRT is out of my price range unfortunately.

Ok, an update: Summits ARE coming down the line. And I think we might break 500 tonight.

I'd love to see a pic too. Trying to decide between that and the Brown/Indigo. I'm concerned it may appear a little dated after a few years, while I imagine the Brown/Lt. Frost would be a little more of a classic/timeless styling.

Hey, I guess it's not impossible... Amazing to think though that it's already been about a month since a lot of us ordered. And hopefully in that same amount of time again (or less) a lot of us will indeed likely be driving our new 2014s!

I'm wondering if the front MOPAR mud flaps for the 2011-2013 will fit the 2014. I imagine they would. Worth a shot I guess...
