Overland or Summit? Picture is a Summit unless Toronto is displaying a Summit badged as an Overland.

Holy poo... The 2014 SRT is quoted at 0-100kmh in 4.4 sec.. This is quicker than a Merc C63 & BMW M3

Mark, Your signature pic has a Summit but you have ordered or you think you have an order in for an Overland. Are you wanting that car in your signature with an "Overland" badge or what? I must say, the Summit in Bright White does look good. I love the SRT too but really, why would a guy in his mid 60's want to get from 0 - 100 in 4.4 secs. Talk about a cop magnet. I'll stick with that conservative looking Summit with some blink thanks if it reaches Australian shores.

That report came out a day after the release. I havent heard anything like this, other than speculation...

Media ban should be up in 9 days, then we will know for sure.

That article was today.. There are others that were from the 14th Jan on that site .. It's specific to Aust market . I haven't seen it before and I search daily. Anyway some good info there reaffirming price rise and release date for Aust.

Of interest the journo responded within minutes of me asking a question on the article about Summit in Aust

Hang on, have I missed something. Your last paragraph whereby you asked the journo about a Summit in Aust. What was his response?

and yes, I noticed that release date and $1000.00 price increase. At least some consistency their. I was told back before christmas that they were allowing a $1000.00 price increase on our MY13 Overland.....now is that $1000.00 for a Summit. After all, our MY13 was an American Overland-Summit.

He said..

Hi MR,

At this stage it's unclear if the Summit variant will join the local Grand Cherokee range, whether as an additional model or as a replacement for the Overland.

We'll have a better idea the closer we get to the MY14 Grand Cherokee's launch, so stay tuned!

But it was good of him to reply..

Thanks for that. Not very helpful though...but he did reply as you said.
There is some confirmation our cars will be here by June/July but if they are not going to disclose whether the Summit is coming until launch date or close to it then that does not leave much time to sort out the mess with peoples orders and get the cars here by June/July. Do you know any dates for the official launch....you have suggested the Melbourne Car show in June. That would be too late to get any of us cars before Spring I would suggest.
