I'm thinking of getting weathertech floor mats for this reason. Anybody have any experience with these?

Had them for the last 3 Jeeps, awesome. But they have nothing for the 2014 yet.

I have exactly the opposite issue...I find the black carpets in my Jeep to be requiring cleaning much, much more than the beige carpets in my previous vehicles ever did. When mud dries...it's tan.

Thanks for the beige looks and discussion. I'm wondering whether the tan floors will dirty up really badly. Great looking interior though!

I really want to see Overland Indigo and Summit Brown in person. I wonder about the brown if all that brown + copper accents will just look...for lack of a better word, poopy.

Looking at pics, my wife called it Diarrhea Brown...of course, in person, it might be different. One of the 4 reasons we went with Overland for the Indigo.

For some reason I thought the V6 wasn't getting the ECO button. Anyone who has it, have you noticed any difference with it? I didn't know what it was actually doing on the V6 Overland.

I just got back from test driving the V6. With ECO on - it shifts 'very quickly.' It seems as though I hit 2nd gear at 9mph, 3rd at 14mph, 4th at 20mph. It also almost seems like the tranny bogs down when it hits 3rd because the rpms drop so low. I didnt look at the rpm gauge to see what the revs were. At the next light, I turned ECO off and it shifted much better. Somewhat in line with the 5-6 speed in my V8 jeep. I would probably keep ECO off if I bought it.

Same on the new BMWs with ECO. Once you turn it into ECO, you may as well be driving a KIA because it feels nothing like a BMW.

Can Eco mode be left off? Or does it default to on each startup?

I had a Chrysler T&C as a rental last week and it stayed off at the next startup when I turned it off. Hopefully the GC would do the same.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Can the 2014 navigation system be diddled with while driving? I hope Jeep doesn't still lock out most controls (as in my 2008 Liberty)? It's a real pain to have to pull over just so my PASSENGER can enter the next address!

It's a stupid CYA by cars that disable most nav controls while driving, and only some makers do it (friends say Honda does not, Toyota does, for instance). There are plenty of other things that can distract the driver. And of course an add-on GPS unit has no such restriction,
