First, gotta say, it still is a handsome vehicle despite our own valid debates about the pros and cons of various refinements. Well done Jeep.

Second, the most common thought was that Chryco was listening to this board at JG via all our most popular mods to the gen1 WK2. See the lesser chrome both fore and aft, lack of side mouldings, sharkfin antenna, dual v6 exhaust, improved dash visibility, darker wood interior trim, folding mirrors, etc. Well done Jeep Garage.

Third, the new dash instrumentation and new AV screen are absolutely kick arse. I hope the 8 speed has similar impact, but did not have a chance to ride the pony so no comment. I did not care for the button initiated electronic console shifter when test driving a C300, and it still looks a bit odd in the '14 JGC, though one may get used to it in short order.

Surprises: I actually liked the roundish/Durangoish rear end upgrades more than expected, but was disappointed that the tail lamps added more chrome surrounding the reverse lenses and that the rear Jeep logo is roughly 15% larger than the 11-13's (I may not have noticed the logo but it is chromed and I'm a we don't need no stikin badges kinda guy). While I still don't like the smiley winged grill or the funky Overland headlamp finish, the front end looks much better than photos, and the Limited/Laredo headlamps with blacked out reflector housings are sharp. Thumbsup to the 10-spoke 18" wheelset that looks like the outline of a 5-spoke SRT rep.

There were a ton of 13's on the lot and more 14's than one would expect in early March. We all win. Go get some of any flavor.
What dealership did you go to? Centennial?

Not a bug. LUXII is required on the Limited diesel.

Advanced Technology Group ($1695) is required with the Overland diesel.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Same thing with the Liberty CRD. Mine had a bunch of stuff as a required option. That was the first vehicle that spoiled me in regards to options. Now I don't want a base model anything anymore.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Glad I was planning on the luxII anyway if I went Limited. This just made my decision between Overland and Limited easier since tech package is also required on Overland.

Loaded Limited it is.

Milous - tell me it isn't so. O.K. you did.
So, because I want a diesel I have to get a sunroof ??? I think Jeep has made a very big mistake in bundling and going to drive away customers.
Good site - I'm glad it's here, thank you.

Milous

Are all builds flex fuel (except diesel) Or does the dealer have an option to add or subtract?

Thanks

Saw two '14 jeeps today and can not stand the headlight redesign. Looks as if ill be keeping my '11for a long time.

Milous, at Post #10059 back on the 12th February you started an Aussie forum. Now I know you have done the best you can and you cannot read into the minds of OZJEEP. They are aparrently a strange mob over here who may not want to go along with the rest of the world with the introduction of a Summit. I know I have been a bit persistent on this one and I keep trying to back you into a corner but are you still hoping to get the scoop of the year by posting that you are now seeing Aussie RHD Summits coming down the line?
I want to stress I have no hard feelings about the information you have posted todate. As I said, they're a strange mob over here. Ozjeep are sure to sweep the Aussie market with record sales over here, I am confident they are going to knock off Toyota Prado and Land Cruiser who hold the title of most sales for SUV's. It would just be nice if they would offer some old fashion customer service to go with the great car you guys have produced.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just ordered a 2014 summit, v6, white, jeep brown interior. Any ideas from the community on how long the build time will be? I just got my vots email from jeep but it just states "production scheduled" thanks!
