Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

We have 3,500 miles on our new Overland V-6.

We drove from Maine to Las Vegas on Interstates and maintained 70-80 mph. We were carrying maybe 500 pounds of cargo to our son. We averaged about 21 mpg as measured by adding up all gallons and total miles. We went up to 385 miles on around 3/4 tank.

We plan to drive on state highways on the way back with less cargo, so I am interested in mileage at those speeds with more starts-stops.

Tom

Thank you for letting me know. My dealer has some SRT splash guards, but my Summit has been stuck at the railyard in Santa Rosa NM since Sun. I wish they would get it here so i could find out if the SRT splash guards fit.

Do you have a parts number on the SRT splash guards? My dealer is checking into it but haven't heard anything back yet. I love the Summit. I was extremely lucky on Tuesday. Guy in front of me slammed on his brakes, smoked tires. I stopped but the guy behind me tried to stop and took the shoulder and god stopped about half a car length past my rear bumper. That would of hurt if he hit me. I had 4 other folks from work in my Jeep... So I am very thankful the Jeep did not take a beating.

Stupid question: The Jeep detail on the headlamps, are they on standard or just those with HIDS/LED DRL? (Left light with Jeep car and right says since 1941)

Thanks Sno. I'm trying to justify the $4k LuxII option since it'll put me above budget for sure even at 7% below invoice! (It sure is a luxury to have)
