Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Lux II has the better leather and cheaper upgrade to RA4 as well as programmable memory seats and power steering column. If you and your wife drive the vehicle and you have different seat settings, that's a nice feature to have.

X2. This is the major factor in us selecting Lux II. But at the end o the day I also wanted the updated headlamps too.

The upgraded headlamps make a big difference.

I agree on everyone. If you don't want to deal with QL, then it is a great alternative. The other small features are minor to me that I didn't care about really.

I couldn't convince my wife on the Overland because I already gave her pricing on the Limited Lux before I ordered the Overland. It's all good though.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

LOL Yea that's right if you could have kept the Overland you would have it by now hahaha.... J/k you're limited will be great.
I'm happy for you guys getting your new 14's and Sno... we have spoke on patients lol.

I'm wondering what will be new say on the 14.5 it is after all an 18 month run. They will have to be doing something whether its special editions or adding new features to keep em coming...

I wonder if this is the Pacific Blue? This was in the Jeep Grand Cherokee iPad App.

And Sno, I just ran numbers and I may just sneak in the LuxII on the wife...she's practically hands off on my car purchase so long as its not over budget (to the point that I may rent a car and drive down to DC group buy without her). As I wait on the lease end of my loaded 2010 Maxima, it's going to be hard to adjust back to halogen headlights and manual tilt/telescoping steering wheel.

I was adding single sunroof and RA4 nav radio at $40580 MSRP. Did numbers on Limited with LuxII option at $42790 and it is not as bad (@ -7% invoice) since I'm gaining much more and just losing Nav, which I really don't care for but have option to add on later (at a dealer visit). She is happy to know that there is a 2-memory seat in the Limited which is her fave on the Maxima (first thing she asked when he checked out the truck for the first time at the NY Auto show last week).

With Lux II you get the HiD headlights and the power tilt/telescoping steering wheel. For $356 for the RA4, I would say just bite the mullet and get it, otherwise it would be about $600 to get it enabled later. That is what I thought and did.

I probably will as its nice to have an on demand map as much as I initially hated the idea of built in nav in the Maxima but really grew on me after a while. At half the price of the add-on upgrade, I will bite that "MULLET"

Its kind of strange how the 14 refresh jives with me. I think the refresh works with certain models better than it does other models. Like the SRT the new front end is extremely fitting for the SRT model. I also think it works really well with the Limited and certain colors for the Overland. The newer interiors are the real attention getters truly awesome interiors available. But its each to our own.
