Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

how about a programmed air horn that sounds in 3 note bursts (4 different tones of 3), a 5 note burst, and a 6 note burst.

if not a horn, maybe you can program your blinkers to flash at different cadences ( 3 3 3 3 5 or 6)

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Why would it be a bad idea in NAFTA? And it makes sense for export? What's different about those markets?

I could see fuel cost considerations being a good thing for export but why on earth would it be considered a bad thing in NAFTA? (That phrasing also strikes me as odd. Who says NAFTA when referring to what I presume is North America?)

Fuel costs are are still low in the US relative to other markets. My thought was a high cost 'fuel efficiency feature', where the cost recovery in the domestic market would take longer. The fact that this could apply to all trims, including but less likely the SRT because it would negatively effect SRT sales...

Also, early in this guessing game Milous did say someone was 'very very close, but a direct hit was unlikely'.

It makes me wonder if some hints have been misinformation to keep us from guessing it....

Literally speaking, it could be made/modified to "work" in the SRT (at considerable expense), but the factory (nor anyone else) would ever bother.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

More than likely it is going to be Standard on the vehicles that will offer it. And Jeep is going to sell a lot of the vehicles so equipped.

People would buy it here, no doubt about it.

Yeah, "greatly affected" is probably an understatement LOL. BTW, if you happen to see Scott's SRT inadvertently come down the line with this option, better let him know right away, he would probably have to re-order!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So it's not;
- Engine or transmission
- AV or telematics systems
- Interior/exterior colour
- styling or trim
- anything to do with safety

If its neither of the above, it's probably nothing to loose any sleep over :-)
