Yeah I was deployed at the time and used the AAFES car buying service. Did my research and knew that it was a short production year for the '13, but I was coming home in September and needed a vehicle. Not knowing definitively when the '14s would be out, I bought the '13 and tried talking myself into loving it....until I saw the new Overland in a parking lot about a month ago. Couldn't resist! Don't get me wrong the 2013 is a great Jeep...but the overall package of the new ones, won me over.

As a Canucks fan living in the Desert, I DESPISE all 4 teams left. I am a pens fan at this stage and would even cheer for the Kings because my hatred for the Bruins and Hawks are sky high. Is it training camp yet?

I'm really curious about how often folks think they are going to run their battery down...I can only think of one time I've done that in about a dozen years and it was because the battery got old. I have, however, jump started folks many times. But yea, stuff happens...

Don't know about the new rig, but I ran down the battery in my Liberty 2008 after just 2 hours of listening to the radio. The radio and car just shut-down! The "radio" with hard drive, Sirius, sat-nav, database, etc, etc really sucks up the juice.

I didn't expect this, because in the old days (my 2002 minivan) of simple radios I could have listened all day.

My 09 Accord couldn't go an hour of listening to the radio before it crapped out. Haven't had any issues with my 13 Jeep though

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Since I'll soon be joining the 21st century by buying my first vehicle since 1995 (assuming the EcoDiesel is ever released ...), I'm curious - with all the impressive new tech that's in vehicles do we finally have turn signals that automatically shut off if you drive more than about 1/2 mile with it on?

Judging by what I see on the freeways, I'm guessing the answer is "no". So why not?

Excellent question and you did anticipate the correct, yet disappointing answer...

My MDX and even my last TrailBlazer had warnings that signaled you if directionals stayed on too long. I'm surprised Jeep doesn't have it.

My old 2000 WJ and the current WK2 has a warning after the turn signal is left on for 1 mile.
