Milous has 4 3's in his clue, so not sure what the 4th "3" is unless he just means 3 3L engines, a 5, and a 6.

In conclusion... release the diesel already!!

The current assumption is these engines:

Jeep Grand Cherokee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Plus a new 3.0 gas engine.

My note was actually about a Pilot Build Marlon had talked about where he noted the 3.0 was actually a 2.9. The comment was to Milous but I am not sure how it panned out?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

@all: I just ordered my 2014 Overland (True Blue - Indigo Blue/Jeep Brown) I will get it probably in August/September.

I just want to thank everyone in this forum for all the useful information and support during the last months. I have been addicted to this thread until the reveal I have to admit. I really believe that without this forum I may have bought no Jeep at all or a MY 2013 and in the later case I think I would have gotten the feeling by now that I missed something. I really like the 2014 MY!

Thanks again, this is really a great forum!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just picked up a Limited V6 today, White exterior, black/beige interior, with the OF2 and Ra3 radio. I never had a car with this much stuff, we'll see how it goes, maybe 60 miles on it now. I had initially wanted a Laredo with the 18" wheel and radio option, OF1, and Trailer tow, but 18" wheel and radio was restricted until recently, got me thinking about a limited, and saw 1 with just 2 added options. The OF2 package and the 8.4A radio. Figured, spent 4 grand more for the Limited, but got the OF2 package, and all that comes with the Limited. Found an issue with the interior trim 1 or 2 things don't seem quite right, trying to decide to get it fixed or they'll just make it worse. Hope this thing is trouble free, haven't bought domestic in a while, thought I would try again with the 2014 Grand Cherokee.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hoping someone could help me figure something out regarding interior color...

I like the "Black and Light Frost Beige" Interior color, which looks like it is available only with the "Capri Leather". (If you move up to the Nappa Leather, they do have a beige option, but it is "Jeep Brown and Beige" as opposed to the black and beige that I prefer).

So as I understand it, I would need the Capri Leather to get the the black/beige interior. This leather comes standard on the Limited model, which is the model I am looking at, so I am all good there. However, I would like to add the "Lux Group ll" package. This is where my confusion comes in. By adding the Lux Group ll, I THINK this would upgrade the seats to Nappa Leather in replace of the Capri leather. Am I correct on this? And if so, does that mean that I will not be able to get the "Black and Beige" interior color?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me figure this one out!!

I have the limited, with the Lux II package, and I have the black, beige interior, so I can confirm it is possible. And by the way, it is my favorite interior I have had on any vehicle I have owned, ever. I love it.

Awesome. I was hoping to hear this combo is possible. So do you know whether your seats are the Capri or Nappa Leather? And you don't happen to have any pics of your GC do you?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I don't have any pics... I would take some, but I don't have the jeep with me right now.

I have the nappa seats. I think they are really nice, too. Very comfortable, and the heat/ventilation options work really well with it.

As far as I understand it, the color combo is not unique to the options, but they make the color combo unique to the trim level. i.e. only limited can get the black/beige. Only Overland can get the indigo blue, etc.

Ok gotcha, that makes sense. Thanks.

I've been off this site for a while but would love to here how "Gigi_boy" is going and whether he has that Summit yet for his drive through the Italian Alps?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Any information on whether the Adaptive Cruise Control stop feature will come in a software update or will the 2014s not get it? It looks like the 2014 Durango is getting it, so I wouldn't see why the Grand Cherokee wouldn't.
