Production as early as 01/2013 would make me think about ordering.. I really want the SC, 8 speed & updated radio..Seems like its so early though, the 2013's are just starting to come out right? Realistically, when would you think that the 2014 models would ship to customers? Is the supercharger is confirmed for sure?

#438 ·
That would hardly qualify as big news.... I mean how much bigger can it get than an 8 speed and supercharged motor.... I'd be happy if they just produced some sexy wheels!

#454 ·
I guess id be happy with a 6.4 if I could get it in white AND they clean up the lines while adding good looking wheels. I fell in love with the "one lap jeep" rims.

I just read on page !:

New Blu-ray DVD player with higher resolution

Now, will this player stay at the same location or will it be moved so that you can get the pano-roof AND DVD-Player?

Mounting it to the center-stack would solve this problem once and for all...

I'd perfer they be mounted on the backs of the seats with twin screens myself. Much better experience for the folks in the back.

...Well... it's official! I couldn't wait any longer. the constant drooling, sleepless nights, loss of appetite, etc.

My 2012 Summit will be in my shaky and excited hands by the end of next week. I tried to wait until December- I really did- promise.

My lovely wife said: "If you really want to, get a 2012 now while they are in closeout pricing; you can get a 2014 or 2015 in a year or so. You may not want to, or they could blow you away with newer and greater options."
(My God, I love that woman)

-and that was all it took. The sky opened up and sunshine beamed into the garage as if to say "It is done... your Jeep is coming."
:mail:
okay okay, a little much I know... but I am pumped! pictures to come after I tweak a little.

Thanks to Milous & Scottina- your info is amazing, and I love the site.

I think I love your wife too ;-) haha im only kiddin. Even though I know my wife would think im stupid, I know she would let me do the same thing if really loved the 2014's enough to want to trade or sell my 2012 Overland. I still cant wait to see the real deal pictures of the 2014's. What has my attention most is the new evic and 8" center screen setup, revised front end with LED's, rear LED tails (im hoping they look sweet!), and last but not least the new tranny and possibly the diesel if I like that. Ok I think thats all the changes haha. Ok so I like everything about it! :-D

Did Jeep jump the gun on their website? I notice googling Jeep Cherokee Disel, one of the results is a webpage www.jeep.com/crd. On the google heading it says "Jeep Grand Cherokee's available 3.0L Turbo Diesel Engine produces massive low-speed torque for increased off the line acceleration, strong tow..."

Clicking on the website you get a blank page. I also noticed the same when you search CRD on their website. You can see if lists Grand Cherokee 3.0 L 5 speed as a performance benchmark. Yes I said 5 speed :(

Anyways is this normal? Why would jeep update their website when they still have to sell all the 2013 models....? Text Font Purple Line Banner

If I'm not mistaken, the CRD page has been up since the WK1 Benz diesel. It was accessible for several months after the Daimler deal was over and the CRD was off the market. At some point it just became a dead end with no data though. I suspect the 5-spd is referring to the past and that Milous knows what's coming for MY 2014.

That link used to lead to the 2005 (I think, maybe 2004) CRD info.

Chances are, they are scraping it clean to get ready for the 2014 MY info or to redirect to the 2014 MY info.

If they would change the wheels to something less tame or soft but keep the grill white that thing would be beautiful.

I'm hoping the 2014s clean up that goofy front bumper. Get those ebay light bars into the headlights and make the front look a bit more pissed off by giving it some big ol' brake duct coolers making it look like you better move out the way or get sucked up into the engine.... kinda like the X5 which looks angry in the picture below:
