I see Ally hit you with the bogus $2500 added charge for the buy out. No other lease company does that. Your residual is what you should pay if you decide to buy at the end of the lease. Ally got me on my 2011 lease, did not notice it until the contract was signed, it cost me $2500 in equity. I would never lease thru Ally again.
If you don't plan on buying it, then it's no big deal, but lets say the value of your Jeep at the end of your lease is $25,000
and you want to trade in for another new car, well you just lost $2500 in equity, so instead of having $3851 to use towards a new car you now have only $1351 because Ally took an extra $2500 from you for no reason.
I also live in PA and never had to put tax out upfront, it has always been rolled up into my monthly payment. Good Luck with the new Jeep you're gonna love it. I am on my fourth one since 2004.
