And since the dealer gets 2% for giving you 1, it's a win win.
SnoFire,
Are you still getting the Overland, or did you order something else? Your Overland is one of very few that made it to pre release.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing
I'm not getting the Overland Bill, the numbers didn't work out and the wife wouldn't be happy at all. Pat knew this might happen and I did inform him of that decision. When I did the get information from him yesterday, the VIN was on the sheet.
When the Lux II package becomes available, I will be ordering a Limited with Lux II and Towing.

I was not impressed.
There's a few of us Pacific Northwesters looking for dealers...
Let me kknow how Dave Smith goes. If we can get stuff delivered for us, that maybe the best solution (ordering from another dealer like Pat or Dave Smith).

Hmm - I got a bit luckier with the salesman I talked to. No real haggle.
I might just pop over to Dave Smith since they give awesome deals on trade-ins without a ton of haggle. Last time I went I was in and out within 1.5 hours and the wife and I had a nice night at the resort at Coeur d'Alene. Well worth it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing
Hey Morpar fans, i was wondering if someone can tell me (from their experience) how much do you think/ what do you think is a fair price for the diesel. I know it starts at around 43 grand, but just wondering, i have about 10 grand saved up and waited three years for this diesel to come out. So please, from your experience what do you think a fair price should be?

That's what you wanted in the first place, isn't it?
Does the change in model change your mind about the color?

I'm here in the northwest as well. Nearest dealer to me is Dwaye-Lane's Jeep (15 minutes). I emailed them about the '14 about a week ago and have heard *nothing* back yet.

Nice. I e-mailed a bunch too, not 20 but a lot, including some high volume dealers, and they either didn't get back to me or refused to beat 1% under invoice, except for one who offered just a tad below 1% under invoice. My local dealer gave me 2% under as a counteroffer to that offer.
However the e-mails were sent the day the new 2014 was officially revealed. Maybe things would be different now. Or I just got unlucky and the e-mails were read by the "wrong" people at the dealers.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing
Kind of bummed about the Diesel and the pricing. I hope that Jeep and Fiat get the message that the Diesel is not a luxury option. They would find more buyers if they put the Diesel into the Laredo and be done with it. I guess it will take the lessons of the CRD lack of sales the last time for them to figure it out. Just venting.

I wanted the Limited with Lux II from the beginning but ordered an Overland hoping for the best, plus didn't know when the Lux II was going to be released.
Going with the Limited, I will be staying the same on colors. Max Steel with Black interior.
