It really depends on what part of the country you are in.
Some posters have said that the floor seems to be @ 4% under invoice, but that is probably not a consistent number nationwide. It also depends on if you are using a Affiliate number or Friends number, which gets the dealer a 2% kickback. Ordering the vehicle basically gives the dealer 100% of the holdback since they never carry the vehicle for any amount of time.
I'd shop your offer to the largest volume dealer in your area and see if they can beat it (they will get volume incentives as well). Don't feel bad about the guy you are working with, this is business after all.
You're left of the curve already for probably 75% of the dealers out there, but you might be able to pick up a little more yet. What's the worse they can say, no?
