Bonjour!

Check the Canadian pricing on page 1 of this thread to see if the pricing you got is good or not.

Did you shop around?

Thing is...The right shade of tan is both rugged and classy so I'm hoping it's not as yellow as it looks on the Jeep site.
See if you can find a dealer nearby (try cars.com) that has another Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicle in the Cashmere color. The colors almost always look very different in real life (and often they look different in different weather conditions too).

I'm also in north San Diego County, in case anyone knows of a cooperative Jeep dealer.

Thanks,
That's pretty good. There is more room below invoice in US but in Canada there is only a $700 dealer hold back so anything around invoice is good. Affiliate pricing in Canada is invoice + $250.

Another $2500 cash incentive for Jan which I see is now gone for Feb. So total discounts on a 2013 JGC Overland was around $10,000. Or $48,0000 roughly pre-tax. Not a bad offer but I want a 2014!
Pricing on the 2014 Overland has gone up by at least $4000 over 2013 models. The 2013's are looking very tempting price-wise.

As most have noted, pricing has gone way up for 2014's in Canada but not by that much. If these numbers are for base Overlands and Summits, your pricing is off. Check 1st page of this post for Canadian pricing.

I did the same calculation with the price difference here in northern AZ ($.64/gal) and there is no payback because the Pentastar would be cheaper to operate! When I also consider the increase in the towing capability of the Pentastar to 6,200 lbs I can't justify the diesel's cost.

Now, like Sno and others, I'm hoping the Luxury Group II (AHN) shows up for the base engine on Tuesday.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I do not understand why Chrysler is shooting themselves in the foot from the get go with the outrageous pricing of the diesel. They are setting themselves up to fail.

I don't get it...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

You never know what sort of incentives they'll be offering. Like others suggested before it might be preferable to them that they start high and lower it through incentives than start low and raise it later.

Also the pricing seems to be fairly in line with the cost of diesel offerings on other SUVs.

I agree. This may be another one of those times that Jeep come out with a diesel and it ends up failing and discontinuing for another few years. Although Milous did state that final pricing has been on MSRP and Invoice of vehicles, not packages and we might see a change in price for adding diesel option. Also been noted that chance of incentives on diesel is close to slim.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

A huge thank you to Scott and Milous,

After watching Milous' order tracking thread and staring at my order with absolutely no activity, it prompted me to call my dealer. Yep, there was an issue with the order. The order was on hold waiting for a clarification of some kind of number. Regardless, issue resolved and supposedly my order should be fine now.

If it wasn't for this site and Milous' amazing tracking, I never would have thought that there might have been an issue and lord knows how long it would have taken to catch.

So thanks to both of you again!

Now, lets see if it really does get going...

I agree.

When did Jeep come out with a diesel in the US? When anyone asked about incentives on the 2014, they never said anything for the CRD they just asked in general. Things could change between now and March 25th when production starts. People complain the diesel is so expensive but I also hear that the Toureg TDI is more expensive, so which would you rather have a More expensive diesel engine but vehicle is less or a more expensive vehicle overall?
