What's causing the delay, the radio or the wheels?

Found the difference on WK2Jeeps ... never mind.

The late availability date of March 15 for 18" wheels and 8.4" radios seems to indicate that it applies only to Laredos and not to other trims. Is this correct?

After asking, I checked Wheels on WK2Jeeps. There is a different wheel for the package.

Yes. Apparently there is a painted 18" wheel option for Laredo. It's not the "polished" 18" wheel used on Limited and ORA II packages. It looks like March 15 late availability applies to the painted 18" wheel.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Just joined this forum.

Can anyone tell me the main difference between the Overland and Summit?

From the Jeep website it lists:

"Summit Edition Group" (no further explanation),
headlamp washer,
foward collision warning,
adaptive speed control.
Power Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column
ParkSensor Front/Rear Park Assist
Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection
Front Chrome Tow Hooks.

I am trying to decide if its worth the extra $4,000 base

The main things that stick out that I want is:
the Select Train Quadra Lift (has to have 4 low)
The new Navigation UConnect NAV4?
Command Sunroof
Off Road Tow Group

Just looking to not overspend. I'm trading in a 2006 Lexus and would like to keep some luxury but not be rediculous.

**Also can someone explain the difference between Quad Trac II and Quad Drive? It seems one is only available on the V8. I haven't decided V6 or V8 yet.

Thanks everyone!

If that's all you need a overland would be fine, just pick the options you want like the ones you said.
Quadra trac 2 and Quadra drive 2 are the same except Quadra drive 2 comes with a electronic limited slip in the rear, they both have the same transfer case with 4 low.

Trust me, I know exactly how you feel. When it comes to my ride, I don't take the word "compromise" too well, either.

In case of deciding between the Summit and Overland, I came to the conclusion that the Harman Kardon and previously mentioned features are more important to me than a hill ascent control or two tow hooks since I won't be offroading in the first place. But that's just my personal choice.
This was nicely covered earlier by a few other members.

Overland or Summit is a much a choice as it is an upgrade.

Summit gets you a much better speaker system, adaptive headlights with headlight washers, suede headliner, upgraded leather and front park sensors. But you cannot get factory skid plates/tow hooks, which maybe a non-issue.

Also, I believe the diff on the QDII system allows directing of torque between wheels, where the QT system can just direct torque between axels.

I believe the description you have maybe from the 2011-2013 JGC where the 'Summit package' was an addition to the Overland. Summit is now its own trim level, and does not have tow hooks.

Cheers
