Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

After following this forum for the past 5 months, I pulled the trigger today on a (ordered) Granite Limited V6 4x4 with Black interior - Tow, sunroof, RA4, 20", and CD player. Now I can join the inpatient waiting crowd. After test driving a 2014 V6 a few weeks ago, it will be worth the wait. My wife has a 2012 Durango with the V6, the new 8 speed is so much peppier.

Just saw my first 2014 JGC commercial with a red Summit. Pretty good commercial and the truck looked great. The market is officially open!

Marlon! You can't be 2,000rpm clutch-dropping the forklifts man!

J/k-I hope it's nothing serious. Take it easy on the recovery. Back and neck stuff is tricky. No doubt it's some latent effects of your wreck.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Just picked up my Overland today. First impressions are outstanding. Had 19 miles on it when I picked it up, has 72 now. Hemi w/the 8 speed is great, way better than the 2013 even in Eco mode (which does turn on every time you start the vehicle). Sport mode is zippy and really fun, I had to restrain myself since I'd like to break it in for a few hundred miles before really getting on it. Wish I hadn't ordered the CD player, you also loose the upper storage shelf in the counsole... Overall easy to learn the vast array of electronics. Stereo sounds great (still wish the upgrade to the 19 speaker HK was available with the Overland) sub fills it out nicely. Tires are as reported, not really off-road worthy, however, I am in northern Wisconsin and took it on some snow-packed roads and punched it and didn't break traction, amazing, my Expedition with all wheel drive and meats on it would have. Have to watch my speed, stable and quiet, and quick, very impressed overall. Heated steering wheel is a nice touch, and stitching on wheel is white, but looks ok. Interior definitely doesn't look very blue on the indigo, looks great. White piping not so glaring as I thought it would be, thankfully, looks good. Really a quality build, nice fit and finish.

Damn! Now I'll probably never get my Jeep!

All kidding aside, I hope it's not serious. After 40 years on the shop floor I've seen some things that still give me the occasional sleepless night. Take care of yourself, and heal up, so you can get back to the world fully functional.

Is there a way in the custom settings to keep the ECO mode from turning back on every time its restarted? Or hopefully, the dealer can do it with their scanner? If anyone knows if it can be done by the dealership, I'll get mine done while they PDI it. But I'm pretty sure they will say it can't be done because they are to lazy to look into the possibility of being able to turn it off.

I refuse to drive a forklift. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. Bah. My tow tractor survived though.

Milous

Are all builds flex fuel (except diesel) Or does the dealer have an option to add or subtract?

Thanks

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I looked at a black Summit yesterday and the lower fascia was painted body color black. I like this much better than the gray that has been pictured.

The ECO mode is the transmission default as mentioned in a previous post. I doubt it can be defeated by the dealer as ECO mode is what was necessary to attain the mpg figures posted on the Monroney label.

Are sure that was a summit you looked at? I didn't think it was a option to remove the gray along the bottom?
