Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

She should have shown you a configuration sheet so you could check what you wanted against their actual order. It took about five business days for my Jeep email to arrive. Others have gotten them sooner.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Good to know. I saw the sheet, but forgot to get a copy of it. I'll give it a few more days before I get a hold of the GSM. Luckily the Overland doesn't have that many options. Also, as far as financing goes... Did most of you figure that out when you placed the order and had it scheduled and ready to go? Or did you wait until it was closer to arriving for the current rates? I'm still debating on leasing vs buying, the lease rates for march weren't that great from ally. Pretty low residuals.

Last question. Anyone know if Ally still charges the $2,500 lease buyout fee if you decide to purchase?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I have my order detail sheet, and an order form with a trade in and deposit listed. I should be taking delivery this week. The pricing wasn't out when I ordered.

When I look at the photos on the Jeep Build & Price pages, the Summits all have color matched lower panels with a chrome strip above, compared to the Overlands which all have the "Gloss Mineral Gray" lowerpanel with no chrome strip. Are the photos on the Jeep site wrong?

Seems like my choice of Overland vs Summit is going to be based more on interior and exterior color choices, than actual differences between the trim levels. Is that what Jeep is trying to do by offering different colors on different trim levels?

Typically, financing rates are only good for 30 days. You may be able to talk about numbers earlier but it will probably be hard to set any in stone with regards to the rates.

Summit has headlight washers instead of a piece of plastic under the headlights.
Summit cannot be ordered with off road package.
And, the wheels are different ... not better or worse.

Just looked at a BLACK Summit in bright light. The lower panels were a very dark gray but not matching black. Even in bright light the salesman and I had a hard time telling the panels were not matching but that they were a little lighter. Took pictures but even then the slight difference in color did not show up so I have not included them. To me the panels were black minus or almost black. In any event, they are not the lighter shade of gray shown on the stock photos.

You still haven't got yours yet? Any word from your dealer on what the hold up is. I would start to nag if my Jeep was a couple hours away and just sitting all this time when I could have it already.

Nagging about something like this just wastes everybody's time. Being retired, I have plenty. But the folks at the dealership don't control shipping, so I'll just let them get their work done.

I'm looking forward to getting the Jeep, but it is just another vehicle.
