However, not a single Jeep person on the floor to answer questions, except for the models who didn't know anything. Nothing on the CRD except for a cutaway model of the engine. It was nice to see the interior colors up close. I like the light frost biege with the jeep brown dash and piping trim on the seats, but am concerned about dirt and grime. The driver seat on the Overland floor model was all dirty with a blue tinge, probably from all the blue jeans getting in and out. For those of you with light color leather interiors, is it hard to keep clean (carpets too)? Unfortunately they didn't have any Summits with the Jeep Brown interior which I really wanted to see in person.

vtail, i can help you with your question. i have a 2011 jgc black with beige interior. i actually use my truck for work and i am in the mud, deep on job-sites and development sites all day long. i wear blue jeans every day of the week. my driver side edge of my seat gets blue but every time i go to the car wash the guys wipe it down hard and i have to say it still looks pretty good after 60k. also i get dirt marks where my elbows rest on the armrest. a little bit of elbow grease and its clean. for me, i am between the black interior or the light beige again, but my major fear with black is that every time i would accidentally kick the door or black plastic trim, my dirty boots would leave a big dirt mark. in the light beige its not such a problem. yup. screwed either way.

one of my oldest questions no one can answer.... why does a scratch on a black car show up white? and why does a scratch on a white car show up black? yup. screwed either way.

patiently waiting for diesel. i drive every day, get my truck filthy, think about a new 2014 all day long, talk myself out of buying one all day, then at night i come home and read jeepgarage and i think SCREW IT, order the diesel!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

First post here, ordered my gc last week. I'm so excited but going to have be patient for a while now. Got vots notification that "vehicle scheduled for prod." and my vin the very next day. Is that faster than normal? Could they have taken a dealer order and changed everything to fit my order? Just curious. Btw I'm getting cherry red limited 4x4 w/frost interior, luxII, ORII, tech package, ra4. I debated the overland but really like the more truckish look of the black lower trim and the black carpet with light interior.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Joe,

That's gonna be one nice looking truck. The fact that you got your vin so fast doesn't mean anything ... good or bad. Jeep seems to pull names out of a hat to decide which car gets built next.

Welcome to the garage.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I ordered my Overland with the V6 on February 2nd, received VOTS on February 6th stating prduction is scheduled. Not a peep from anything since. I punched the VIN number in the web site and nothing other than "Production Scheduled". I knew I should have ordered the Summit and got priority scheduling. LOL. If I don't hear anything by next week I may call the dealer and check.

That's just what I suspected the WPK 18" wheel would be. An aluminum painted Limited/ORA 18" wheel without the polished spoke highlight and without the darker Mineral Gray paint. Glad you like them!

Ours was ordered January 21st, the 25th I received a email where the link to vots showed production scheduled and it was shown as pre production on here. It did not go D1 until the 12th of march, like bill said above, they pull names out of a hat to see who's gets built next.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Well, today was the day the billet silver metallic paint was to become available. I notice it doesn't show up on the build site, or anywhere else on the Jeep website. Anyone at JNAP have any clues as to its actual availability? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Agreed. Many posts trying to rationalize the diesel purchase based on the economics, which doesn't work. If you want it, get it. I'm not sure if I'll go ahead and order the CRD as soon as my dealer can order it, or wait till one comes in for test drive.
