What exactly do you think needs to be filtered out? There's a huge difference between YOU asking for clarification of something I've said, and taking something and running with it, only for the purpose of drawing baseless conclusions that do nothing but feed your preconceived views.

And I'll let the masses decide on how I've represented the company.

Lastly, if I didn't know a few of the guys who's lives we're ruined by Fox News bc of their disdain for President Obama, and the auto-rescue, then maybe I wouldn't be so defensive. But when I hear ppl, like yourself, talk about ppl I care about, without knowing anything about what really happened, yea, it pisses me off.

Sorry if that's not polished enough for you.. I'll answer anyone's questions, but when people come at me with bs, I wouldn't be "me" if I didn't call em on it.

chevyboy, we appreciate your feedback and help understanding how it works in the real world there at the plant. I think sometimes we must seem to you like some little old ladies fussing and fretting over every little detail.

This is my first Jeep and I'm pumped to get it. I almost bought one in 2011 for my wife and then backed out at the last minute when I started reading about the 8 spd transmission and the CRD that was rumored to be coming. So when the 2014's became available I ordered one in late Feb.

Given your above statement about inherent issues with a "launch" vehicle, would it have made more sense from a quality standpoint to wait 6 months or so to order ? Would you purchase a vehicle that came off the line in the first couple thousand of a new launch ?

Just curious and thanks. BTW, I didn't order the diesel - the $4500 up charge seemed really exorbitant to me - I went with the V6.

Not at all.. You guys have the right to know exactly what's up, whether you're buying an optioned out top trim, or a bare-bones base model.

Personally, I feel the tracking itself isn't elaborate enough, and leaves you guys in flux wondering if the build is stagnant or not, and what exactly is going on. Nothing gets inspected for weeks, but judging by what you guys can see, it would appear that way.

I just wanna help is all.. But at the same time, it's frustrating when ppl seemingly purposely twist things to say what they already think.

If I were in you guys' shoes, I'd probably be just as excited and anxious, if not more. So I understand the frustration that comes with a lack of communication, and vague status updates. All I'm saying is, don't take those updates as the gospel, bc they're not as descriptive as they could be. And "inspection" doesn't always mean inspection.

Edit: And it's not that waiting longer after a launch changes quality, but rather once the bugs get worked out, the process speeds up. And there were A LOT of bugs with this launch. But more QC in advance means less issues once you all recieve the vehicles. THAT is what these delays are all about!!!

I am curious - is the wood trim on the limited with LuxII still fake or is it real?

I figure it will get here when it does - that's deep thinkin', isn't it ?
My Summit has been sitting in final Inspection for the last week also, today was estimated delivery guess that is not happening lol

Was surprised mine went straight through. Of course the only two phases I saw on VOTS was paint and shipping. Guess I am getting a can of paint!

Unless they got better, VOTS is only updated once a day. So unless things on the line really slow down, if it's in any stage of production in the morning in VOTS, it should be built by the end of the day.

That means mine has been in inspection then for a week - it was being painted on the 13th.

Sure sounds like it. The morning mine showd up in paint, it was out the door the same night.
