How about 34 days? I'm calling VOTS in an hour and if I don't get a reasonable answer I think I have a tough decision to make. Talk about not making any sense, something is terribly wrong.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I am from Ottawa , Ontario and I ordered a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited True Blue on February 12, 2013. I will be calling this week but two weeks ago it was in D status - whatever that means. I am anxiously awaiting its arrival.
What is VOTS and where can you track it yourself. Thanks

This is a great Forum

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

34 days WOW. Now thats BS. I feel if they can't get a customer order cars out of inspection within a week they should just build a new one. I'm a business person and when you have a paying customer waiting for a product you get one to him ASAP to close the deal. It seems Chrysler doesn't use or even think of these simply principals. Crazy but thats people on a board that have no clue about how sales on the ground level work.

VOTS is the Jeep vehicle tracking system that you can subscribe to get updates, but doesn't update as fast as what we have here. MOTS is Milous order tracking system that is provided here on the site, but you need to be a level 3 site supporter or higher to get access to it. It is updated daily many times a day (early morning and then a few times in the afternoon) and on weekends.

I wonder if their international exposure has something to do with this attitude. We've read how folks 'down under' order a car not expecting to get it for 6 months. Here in the States our dealers load up their lots so people can drive in and drive out in a new car the same day.

After seeing this, and assuming the ordered car isn't a strange configuration, dealers should order a duplicate of any car that goes to the so called inspection. Then, let the person who has been waiting get the first one in. The other one goes on the lot.

Maybe you guys could ask Milous if there is known issue with the Summit that is being addressed now instead of sending them out to you plagued with problems. Here's a POV from another business person Capitalst. You ordered the the high end of the Jeep range. That vehicle is going to require a lot more attention then say a Limited, because of all the extra goodies. For clarification I'M NOT saying all vehicles don't get the same attention, I'm simply stating higher end models have more to pick over with a fine tooth comb. Now if I were JeeperJohn, he ordered right when the banks opened that will be 2 months tomorrow. I'd cancel my Current order and place a new one. Jeep does tell consumers 4-6 weeks. In any case I wish you two the best of luck!

+1 seeing how some folks are waiting over a month makes me think twice about ordering and waiting for the Limited in the color options that I want, especially if Jeep tells consumer 4-6 weeks. When I do pull the trigger, I don't have the luxury of "waiting" a month.

Order a month earlier.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I ordered 4 weeks ago yesterday, and I've been sitting in pre-release for 3 weeks now. Hope it hits the line soon, I'm getting really antsy to see some movement! Oh well, patience is a virtue, I guess I'm just not particularly virtuous.
