Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I don't hear many of you ordering Summits in Red with Black interior? Is it not a popular choice?

Once I saw the Jeep Brown interior in person I was sold. I especially like the copper color on the metal trim and stitching - very sharp. The matching brown suede pillars and headliner top it off. You can get black on any vehicle but the brown is only available on the Summit which really sets it apart from the other trim levels. Brown is what I will be ordering as soon as the CRDs open for ordering....

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

If ordering gets pushed back another month, I may just get a Hemi and be done with it... That would be supremely stupid given I want the fuel economy of the diesel and it'll only cost $1000 more than the hemi after I add lux ii.

But I'm getting very impatient and I've been known to do supremely stupid things when I'm impatient!

I'm thinking the same thing, I know what the hemi will do, have it in my ram, but that mpg is really tempting. We shall hold out hope and see. 😬

I was planning on ordering that in a couple of days with a crd, but who knows. I think the brown looks good, but a little too light for the way my kids are

Don't get impatient, let them get things worked out with the CRD. Today is already 4/3 and you could see your shiny new diesel soon! Don't compromise, if you do you'll be shooting yourself in the foot later!!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I wonder how many people (im)patiently waiting for a CRD now and who end up buying for one would admit in a few years from now that waiting for the diesel and hyuing it was a smart decision.

yes, yellowish on the jeep site...looks goldish in your pic as well as in other pics on this thread. That's why one has to see colors in person under different sun/shade conditions

Things are, supposedly, worked out.

They are building CRDs with the 8speed for export already...

Any recommendations?
Saw the Summit Brown interior, it is nice and, with the Auburn Pearl outside and CRD under the hood, is what I will be ordering. However, to my eye, the New Saddle was nicer. I wish they still had it.
Auburn Pearl exterior, I have not seen but it seems the most unique color. With regards to Cherry Red, I still can't overcome the thought that whenever you see that color vehicle, it is almost always a woman driving it. Ferarri seems to be the only exception to that rule. This would work if you are buying the JGC for your wife.
Waiting for release of the CRD since it was supposed to be released last summer. Got impatient and almost bought the Taureg TDI. Fortunately or unfortunately, VW paired that with a transmission that shifts gears abruptly and constantly between 0 and 30. Fred Flinstone had a smoother ride. I test drove a 14 JGC hemi and the ride was spectacular. This will give Lxus and BMW some competition. The technology in the new JGC seems worth waiting for.
