For real fun, go spec out an equally equipped Mercedes Benz ML... whooooo!

I have some questions and I apologize ahead of time for being a noob, as well as writing a lengthy post here, but I could really use your help. I might possibly also help some on here with their disappointments (if my figures are correct)

So far what I get from this is the following (my preferred build):

-Limited 4X4 (MSRP: $37,595+Dest: $995)
-Diesel (EXF), 8-Spd Trans (DFD) ($4,500, WOW!!!)
-Advanced Tech Group (ADG) ($1,695)
-Lux Group II (AHN) ($3,000, OUCH!!!)
-Off-Road Adv I (AWL) ($550)
-Trailer Tow IV (AHX) ($645)

Then, if I have this right, replacing RA3 with RA4 is an increase of $400 because RA3 is included with AHN. RA3 and RA4 are $395 & $795, so replacing RA3 with RA4 in AHN should be the difference; $400, correct? (good luck finding that caliber of NAV for less than $400 aftermarket...this is a good deal...and no one needs to hack/pirate)

Total: $49,380

This seems high at first but I think invoice pricing plus rebates and discounts should lower this significantly. Some guys here talk about invoice being 7% below MSRP, then dealing 1% below that (=$45,465...Much better, Iím in!!!). Let me know if Iím way off on those figures.
Also, maybe someone could let me know if this is a good deal:
Iím military stationed overseas so I can order through AAFES Exchange New Car Sales (ENCS). What they do is offer ďexclusiveĒ rebates. The MY14 rebate amount is not out yet but the average on prior MY GCs is about $3,000. I also get a Chrysler Loyalty discount of $500 (yes, my other car is a minivan...donít hate). So, $49,380 - $3,500 = $45,880. And this is based on the MSRP provided here; we all know the final pricing, whether based on MSRP or invoice, will most likely drop some. I think itís safe to say I could drive away at or below $45,000. If Iím correct on this, or pretty close, then Iím totally happy, but could a stateside dealer do better?

I know this is long and Iíll finish up here real quick.
3 more things:
Is the Copper console/trim a standard part of the Limited black interior? It looks like it on that pic in this thread.

Next: I figured from what Iíve read here so far that you cannot get Quadra-Drive II without Quadra-Lift. Is that correct? I do not want Quadra-Lift so if I were to consider an Overland, I would first need to know if Off-Road Adv I is an option on Overland.

Last but not least, and Iím sure Iíll catch some flak for this but...whatís so bad about Cashmere? I know it looks yellow on the jeep website but I compared it to the Chrysler paint sites referenced on this site and itís identical to Sandstone and close to White-Gold. By looking at car pics with those colors, Itís basically Tan/Beige (does have that ďpearlĒ effect in some light though) which IMO would be like a rugged desert-camo and the black windows, lower-grille, tires, plus all the chrome are a great contrast to beige (a slightly pearl/metallic beige, but definitely not old-man or mall-crawler yellow....right?) . Otherwise itís Granite.....I wonder how many Granite GCs will be cruiseín around?
That sounds about right. You are going to get your best deal going w/ Pat (Field Auto) who offers 2% below invoice. I think you can also add your $500 on top of that. The "exclusive" offer you speak of is beaten by the 1% below invoice anyways.

I believe the black has silver "trim". No you cannot get QDII without QL. I would get both, QDII is awesome, and QL has been addressed to correct some of the issues with earlier builds.

I hear ya on cashmere... its not terrible, but not my choice. I would suggest waiting to see all the colors in person. All of them are off by a mile to what they actually look like in real life.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

The German beer is starting to kick in and get me back on track. If you want quality, you have to pay for it.

Is the Brown/Indigo really not compatible with black and silver, or just not available yet?

I really want a world class American built car, getting great economy, more than a little plush, and worth keeping for for 5-10 years. Is the Overland CRD it?

Out of bier -- back in a while.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Looking at the changes made today for the Laredo E pricing, it appears now that in order to have the Security group, I now have to buy a sunroof. That makes no sense.
I am not a fan of sunroofs and all of their problems of leaks, rattles, etc. Looks like Jeep is forcing you to go to the limited if you want some of the Security group stuff without a sunroof.

I hear ya -- seems the choices for the Brown/Indigo are dumb... the only one I really would consider is Max Steel, and even that color is too dark for me. I wish it looked like it does on the Jeep website right now.

For your second question... my answer is YES.

!!! I would advise to not make a buying decision based on these prices until official pricing is released !!!
So in other words Jeep is watching and listening to their loyal customers on Jeep Garage and are going to lower the prices to make us all happy!!

Wouldn't that be awesome... that diesel upcharge is freakin' killing me. More than TWICE as much as the Hemi!?!?! ARGH!!!

I really hope the invoice price brings it somewhat more in line...

I don't see how the invoice difference would be any different than the MSRP difference... should be proportional. Best you can do is hope invoice pricing is 10% below MSRP instead of 5%. But chances are it will be 6-7%.

That is encouraging...however I should be hopeful it is accurate that gives me a chance at a heckuva deal when the new MY comes out ...maybe even a chance at a Laredo CRD

Think Outside !- No Box Required.
