Going to check this one out in person this week ... Hopefully it looks as good as in pictures.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Hi all, I have been lurking here for months while dreaming of my future Jeep, reading about everyone's Adventures in MOTS, and soaking in all of Milous and chevyboys info and thought I would introduce myself.

I've owned a couple Jeep's, but only for hardcore offroading. Well, actually my first Jeep started as a daily driver when I was 16, a 1983 Grand Wagoneer. I absolutely loved that thing, whether it was driving it or turning a wrench on it (40/60 % of time respectivly ). Over time it grew taller, wider, tougher, and uglier and became my dedicated trail rig while I replaced it with a 2door coup for daily driving. I had to finally lay it to rest in Moab when the old AMC360 (2nd in that Jeep) blew a piston and the frame had too much rust to salvage. Much of its offroad mods live on in my Dad's awesome '86.

I replaced the Wagoneer with a 93 ZJ intended only for trail duty. 8" long arm suspension, 35" tires, D44 front & Ford 9" rear, locked all around, Atlas 3.8:1 transfer case, and a swapped 5.9 motor. This Jeep still serves me well today and works part time as my winter snow and light towing vehicle.

I'm ready to go back to a Jeep for my daily driver as well. I was heavily considering a 2013 Trailhawk, but the CRD and 8spd are calling my name (where is that 2014 Trailhawk!!!).

Currently planning to order a 2014 Limited, CRD, ORAII, RA4. Really hoping I'll be able to do so without LuxII (Milous, any hope???). I like the light frost interior and originally wanted the black forest green as an homage to my old Wagoneer (also forest green). But after seeing the BFG in person it looks almost black to me unless the sun hits it just right. So color plan B is still a toss up between max steel, true blue, or deep red.

I'm a little bummed there is no retail 14 Trailhawk, that concept at Moab this year was awesome. But I guess some mopar rock rails will have to cover that spread.

Anyways, in the meantime I'll just keep refreshing this thread 10x a day waiting for CRD news.

^ Dome, LuxII is required on the limited for the CRD - no way around that.

I love that color combination. The new Billet Silver itself is absolutely just amazing then you add in the Indigo Blue interior and that ='s swoon.... Of course i'm one of the few who really doesnt care for the body painted trim. Anyway Billet is a great color.

Welcome Dome!
I thought the same thing about Black Forest green, too dark for me.

Sort of feel like I'm missing out on tracking my vehicle thoughout the process but super excited to get it next week.

And since I haven't really seen much mention of it on here, I used the USAA car buying service. With my $500 military rebate it came in right around 1% under invoice.
Thank your lucky stars Andy. Dealing with Jeep (VOTS, the dealer and the production process) has been a terrible experience. I'm about to chuck it and buy a Touareg.

You'll probably have to wait for the rock rails, also. I asked my dealer about putting them on before I picked up my Overland and he said there are none in the catalog now that specify 2014. In contrast, the side steps are avaiable for 2014 GC's but they don't give the same protection.

As far as I know, the ones for the 2013 will fit all 2014s except the Summit and SRT (due to their fender flare design). I am sure Milous, Marlon, or Chevy could confirm this.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Anybody putting mud flaps on their GCs? I've always had them to help keep chips and slop off the lower body of the vehicle. Are there any available for the Summit?

I hope you're right. I've also contacted a couple of private companies making rock rails for GC's to ask if theirs would fit a 2014. No response yet.

Like many of you, I'm patiently waiting for CRDs to go into production so I can order my Limited with Lux 2, block heater, ora2, etc.

In any case, you all might find this snippet from allpar.com interesting

Happy diesling may come to us all soon!
