I really feel bad for you. Hopefully it will look like new very soon!

These days they use clear 3M bra material door edge guards. You can buy 1/2" by 10 yd roll on Amazon for $13.66.

Damn, sorry to hear that Tom!

We had a nice little storm roll through this afternoon, luckily it didn't drop any hail. Sure cooled it off though...and got my baby wet for the first time:

That stinks. The WK2 does have an aluminum hood so I imagine it doesn't take much to ding it. Good luck with the PDR guy.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Hello all!

First time poster, and potential first time Jeep owner here. I did own a 1996 Ford Bronco for ten years, and would still be wearing the black armband I wore when it died, if my boss didn't make me take it off.

Considering a 2014 Limited V8, ORA II, Lux II, and Adv. tech. I'd go for the Overland, but I don't like the partial wood steering wheel. I had a wood steering wheel once, and when it was sitting in the sun for hours I had to wait for a while before I could drive. Those get hot!

I've gone through the pricing on the first page - what would be a reasonable discount above/below invoice, assuming I was just an average guy off the street with no special associations or affiliations, and had my own financing, and no trade in? I don't begrudge anyone their profit, but don't want to have them high-fiving each other when I drive off the lot.

I've never driven a diesel before - how does the launch off the line and general acceleration compare to a V8? The gas milage and long term reliability of the diesel is attractive, but I admit I like the "push back in the seat" of a V8 and don't want anything sluggish (I had a 351 V8 in my Bronco and loved it).

Thanks!

So I got my "production scheduled" email today!

Except I canceled that order. I'm waiting for the CRD.

I ordered my Overland without any affiliations, no trade, and secured financing through my credit union... The dealer gave me $1,094 below invoice. As far as the diesel goes, I've only ever driven the Touareg TDI (2013) and it had excellent launch and acceleration. The only reason I didn't purchase the Grand Cherokee or Touareg diesel was price... Both were much more than I wanted to spend with the options I desired.
