I've never driven a diesel before - how does the launch off the line and general acceleration compare to a V8? The gas milage and long term reliability of the diesel is attractive, but I admit I like the "push back in the seat" of a V8 and don't want anything sluggish (I had a 351 V8 in my Bronco and loved it).

Thanks!
You should be able to get at least 1% below invoice through a number of memberships. My company is considered a Chrysler "affiliate" so I can participate in the Affiliate Reward program which gives 1% below invoice. There are memberships you can purchase for a small fee that give the same benefits. I can't remember their names but they are mentioned on previous posts in this thread.

As far as the diesel "launch", most of the reports I have read indicate it is just as quick if not quicker than the V8 due to the larger torque produced.

I drove the Touareg TDI and the acceleration when you punch it was very impressive - I'm assuming the CDR will be at least as good.

OK, I found it. One such membership is treadlightly.org, an outdoor conservation group. According to their web site, a $100 membership lets you participate in the Affiliate Rewards program mentioned earlier. There are probably others...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Just took delivery of my '14 Overland (Granite):

Drove her home about an hour ago. Posting from inside the vehicle right now in the driveway. Local dealership found this one in Oregon a few days ago about 150 miles south and had it transported to them this morning. Exactly what I wanted!

Absolutely loving it so far.

That sucks! Mine is sitting 100 miles away from me in Oklahoma City right now and a big storm rolled through last night with potential for quarter size hail. I'm not sure where the train offload yard is so I don't know if that area got the hail. I'm hoping for the best.

Man, that granite looks nice. It has me questioning whether I should go max steel or granite. Decisions decisions.

According to the accessories manager at my dealer the 13 splash guards do not fit the 14's but he could be wrong.

Hey so how did your overall experience turn out with "such and such" CDJ?

I thought the ones for the WK2 would fit?
