No I didn't get my car yet, lol. 1% under with affiliate, you should be able to do that. Try to get with a group but if possible, great deals to be had. Email a lot of dealers to get them to compete for your money.

Hey rick.

Are you SURE you want that CD player?

At any rate most folks are landing 1-3% under invoice for the most part, some folks are hitting better deals, however, depending on where you are (and if you have an affiliate control number handy) you can do better.

Keep in mind, without an AF control number via tread lightly (or... there's another one, I don't recall) usually 1% invoice is *probably* going to be the best you can do.. maybe a smidge more.

However, also keep in mind, that while the dealer may give you a good deal on the purchase price of the new Jeep, you may get screwed on a trade in (if you have one). So, take that into account as well when negotiating.

Did do that. Nothing, really. Maybe the car magazines are holding off the full test reviews. But judging from the Motor Trend's review of the VW, there is a reason why horse power matter. I bet this is where the Hemi still holds an advantage. Btw, did you see the Fast Lane Car 0-60 video on the Hemi Durango. That old "fake" six speed transmission really does hold down the engine. Thankfully we are all getting 8 speeds.

If you are in south east Pa then it may be worth a few hours drive to Koons of Tysons in northern VA for the DC Group buy. 7% below invoice + tax, tags and $499 processing. I ordered a summit from them and it came in last week all went well. I like the truck a lot. PM Big Wave on the DC Group buy thread and he will send you all the info on it.

Are you saying the 2014 WK2 V8 is faster 0-60 than a 2012 WK2 V8? Link?

I did not say anything. I am trying to find out the 55-65 or 65-75 on a diesel. My only thought is that the V8 may be better than the diesel in that speed range, given the horsepower (rather than the torque). Btw, on the review of the 2013 Durango V8 with the current transmission, you can see a big drop of RPM when the car reaches 50mph (here is the link:http://youtu.be/MSTGJ_w_b40)

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

You can't get skid plates and 20" wheels from the factory.

You can get a Limited with 20" wheels OR a Limited with tow hooks and skid plates but only with 18" wheels.

Overland comes standard with 20" wheels and tow hooks. To get skid plates from the factory you have to get off road package which includes 18" wheels.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Warning: Yes.. I am reposting from another thread, before anyone flames me :-D

Traded in my 2011 Durango Citadel on 3/30 for a 2014 Summit.. and love it. I liked Durango a lot, but some of the tech was lacking & uconnect issues were irritating. There was only one Summit within hundreds of miles of my dealer spec'd how I wanted (granite metallic, black interior, v6, summit) and I was very lucky to get it. They had several people make offers on it while it was sitting in lot waiting for me to pick it up, lol. One lady was pissed b/c she just bought a 2013 and hadn't seen/known about the 2014's and liked it alot better..

After reading some of the posts in here, I was nervous that I would run into some issues, especially given how anal I am about everything in general. However, I must say.. it's pretty much perfect. I can usually find something to b**ch about, but after 2 weeks, nothing yet. Uconnect works great, remote app for phone works great, car rides smooth, all features work, no rattles/squeaks, HK audio sounds AWESOME. Only unconfirmed issue is BT audio stream drops sometimes/randomly when playing music, but I can't pin that on UC yet, since I am using a rooted GNII with custom rom.. could just be bug in BT stack as I haven't tested audio anywhere else with it yet.

Of course, before i took delivery, I made it VERY clear that they were to hook up truck to star tool & perform all updates before I picked it up, which in itself may have prevented me from having issues. I work in IT, and there is a reason mfg's release firmware/code updates. Getting your typical mechanic to get on the same page with that mindset is still a challenge, even given how much software directly controls late model vehicles these days. I always make sure they check/perform updates when I go in for an oil change for my vehicles, and it has prooven to serve me well, even though it's a bit of a argument each time. I would suggest everyone do the same. If J2534 adapters & TA subscriptions weren't so expensive, i'd just do it myself, and I think it's ridiculous that it's so hard to keep SW up to date in a vehicle, when it's probably the cause of 80% of late model vehicle issues. There is a 3G radio in system.. would it really be that hard to implement a 'live update' sort of solution???

Anyway, enough ranting. Great truck!
