Anyway... this is the jeep i am looking at

2014 limited

I have a Friend/family discount code.. and this is the second dealer that i have talked to that wont budge on price if using that code. Is this normal? basically that one using the code would be 40.2k+lic and bs taxes..

The reason i am asking is that the only other new vehicles i have bought were vettes and i could literally call the dealer.. work out a deal at like 5-7k off sticker and they would deliver it.. I am not sure how chrysler works with pricing.. thanks guys..
So.. here's what you do:
  1. Find a dealer that wheel and deal. Don't ask about a given rig or anything. Just ask what the bottom line pricing with your discount code would be for a build that you want (nothing on their lot has to even come close to matching it).
  2. Once you get a dealer that will give you the pricing you want, then have them sniff around and look at other dealers to have the rig (if there is one on a lot) that matches what you want.
  3. If there is not one on a lot from another dealer nearby, ask them to look at those that are in transit. They can very easily swap a rig in transit to have to sent to them.
Moral of the story, don't tie a vehicle to a dealer. The vehicles can be moved around from dealer to dealer or changed while in transit with the snap of a finger (AND AT NO ADDITIONAL COST to you).

Find the dealer that will strike a good deal, and THEN go find the rig you want.

You can check yourself for the vehicle you want. Just go to Jeep.com, build it and search.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Yeah, but that's not his problem.

His issue is he found the rig he wants, but not a dealer that will deal.

Find the dealer first, then have the rig brought in.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

This is one of those waiting games, right? I know that you know that I know. If Icetech has let everyone know what he wants, then there is no incentive for any of the dealers to deal.

I, personally, would detach myself from the whole thing. Call everything off. Wait a few weeks or month. There is going to be a dealer who will call back (trust me) and check if he is still in the market. Then, negotiate again.

What is the FF discount? 1%? I see invoice is $40,557 for your build so there is barely and discount there. I did a build in the Jeep site and found it in 2-3 dealership (no color preference) from 10-28 miles from the zip of the Golling dealership. Try negotiating as mentioned above without mentioning the ff discount and see which are willing to budge. Reports are that dealers are willing to go 3% below invoice at this time.

I know that we didn't have any luck at Al Deeby either or Moran chrysler in St Clair. (The dealer in St. Clair told me to come back if we win the lotto...) The only dealer I had luck with getting a deal was Scott, they had a 2013 overland for about 10 percent below invoice. I didn't try to deal with them on a 2014 because they didn't have any black Forrest greens.
Milosh is not a good place. After being told they would order any 2014's until they reduced their stock of 13's I threw in the towel and left. I have been dealing with Golling and my experience has been great. I can recommend a salesman if you'd like.
