Ice, unfortunately it really depends on where you are. The group buys are getting great deals, but if you're not close in proximity. I've got it worked out if the crd becomes available using the affiliate pricing to get 2% below invoice. I would've tried for more, but I've got a trade and they have me a fair price on that. If your not familiar the affiliate pricing is 1% below invoice, but the dealer gets an additional 2% holdback, so there is some wiggle. Without that I couldn't get a dealer near me to come off invoice

Response.. The price is listed on the webpage... want me to write it up?

That was the whole conversation.. 3 dealers like that now its like chrysler doesn't want to sell cars...
If you call dealers, talk to a sales manager not a normal sales rep as they sometimes won't do anything. You should be able to get invoice with no troubles. You don't need a group buy to get good pricing.

Exclamation Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I see that Milous slipped in an update on Staurday to post #1with the following:
"3.0L diesel engine - Late June, 2013"

VERY frustrating! I assume this means that ordering has also slipped?

What is the deal? Beginning to look like Chrysler is pulling a fast one on us.

Time to buy some donuts. hmmm. Late June, no more specific dates. Late June implies July production which implies June ordering. Possible June 4th, 2013 implication to be exact.

If at least they let us place an order on Tuesday, it would give us a bone to chew on. I always give my dog a bone to chew on when I have company.

I am starting to foam at the mouth...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

First post here so I hope this is the right place to post this question. I read the last dozen pages and saw a similar question a few days ago.

I am shopping for a 2014 Overland 4x4 with the following options 1) V8 2) Advanced Tech and 3) Quadra-Drive II.

I received a dealer "Configuration Preview" from a dealer on Friday May 3rd and a different dealer on Saturday May 4th and just a build price as I outlined from a third on Saturday.

On both build "Configuration Preview"s which is I guess is printed using Chrysler software, the V8 engine shows an MSRP of 2,695 and an invoice of 2,399 compared to MSRP of 2,195 everywhere else that I have seen. They show correct numbers of MSRP of 1,695 for the Tech package and 795 for Quadra-Drive II. These sheets show HB, FFB and EP numbers as well. The dealer that just gave me a price also reflected the increased price.

If you build this vehicle on Jeeps site, look at dealer inventory window stickers and use the info here, MSRP is 51,675. However, everything I was given shows MSRP increased by 500 and is now 52,175 due to the increased engine price.

Was there a recent increase to the price of the V8 engine from MSRP 2,195 to MSRP of 2,695?

Thanks and this place is great. Just joined a few days ago.

-----------------------

I Searched incoming v8 window stickers and v8 is now MSRP $2,695 on Limited/Overland and $3,195 on Summit. Must be recent as found some incoming Summits with $3,195 and $2,695 pricing.

Oh noooze! This is starting to get to the critical point with my current vehicle. I just shoveled up some more rusted bits from the driveway that have fallen off and now the other rear door is rusted completely shut too. I'm not sure the old girl is gonna survive until the CRD is released. Not to mention smog check is coming up in a couple months and I'm not sure it's going to pass that either.

Damnz. Gettin' serious here. Not sure if I'll have to throw in the towel and go with a 5.7 or maybe look more seriously into a non-Jeep option.

Jeep you have officially run out of excuses with the CRD.

Shame on you.

Let's wait to see what Milous has to say before we head for the ledges.

? It was his post... what can he say to make it any better?

I'm a loyal jeep customer and they have officially pissed me off. You can only push customers so far before they start to push back.

Possibly. But the fact that he updated the post without saying anything about it leads me to believe it's bad news and he didn't want to get beat up for delivering the news and/or a flood of posts all asking why it was delayed, what exactly "late june" means, etc.

If it was good news (or at least something that made things not seem quite as bad) my guess is he would've said something when he made the update.

But you're right - that is a lot of assumptions ...

However, no matter what the explanation - the fact that it moved to "late june" says something, and even if there are no more delays, and late june is the production date, not the order date, things are still getting pretty critical with my particular situation.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

On Apr 4 my dealership sales manager had just gotten of a telecom where he was told diesel production was being pushed out to late June, so the best I could hope for realistically would be to receive the vehicle I wanted in early August. So I punted and ordered a Hemi. Now that I have the Hemi, I am very pleased.
