Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Probably meaningless and not up to date. However, in despiration I searched the EPA's web site and found the 2014 lists "light duty trucks and vehicles 2014, evaporative certifications" and "light duty trucks and vehicles 2014, exhaust certifications". The links to these excel files are below. Anyway, you can find the JGC gas burners but not the JGC oil burner there. I still wonder if they are having trouble with EPA clearance. Of course, this is the govenment, and I doubt these files are kept current.

Despite Scott's latest post, July production = June ordering. I'm keeping an optomistic viewpoint.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

All I know is that I did a "Build and Price" on the Jeep.com website today and selected the 3.0 ECODiesel and it priced it and carried it forward to a packaged vehicle.

I wouldn't believe for a minute that the same entity that brought me my amazing "Alpine Edition" JCG SRT8 would allow everyone to "Build and Price" the JGC ECODiesel on their "Official" Website only to then pull the rug from under us(me)!

I am waiting! and i will order it as soon as the "Order Banks" open and one of my managers will be driving it THIS YEAR!

Actually that is a good point... when have you ever been able to go to a manufacturers website and build a vehicle you can't order (Tesla excluded).

Can you build a 2014 RAM Diesel on the web today?

I mean that is just misleading.

Anyway, I said I would reserve judgement through June but can't wait forever to get a vehicle.

I would imagine Milous is working to get more information on this so let us see what materializes.....

Huh...

That's new. You are right though, the website no longer says "Late Availability" for the CRD.

Sorry, but it looks like the Late Availability tag is still there if you open the 'details' for the engine option on the Jeep build site (see attachment). Did it use to say it somewhere else too?

Very disappointed today.

So sorry for you patient EcoDiesel folks. Watching "MotorWeek" on Velocity Channel, I can't help but cringe at the report that the "Ram trucks will have the same EcoDiesel that is available on the Jeep Grand Cherokee It's not available yet!!!

Well Chrysler certainly told the media it would be available by now so really this is on them... I think if they don't pull through with the EcoDiesel soon they will loose a lot of trust in the premium SUV buyers they are trying to attract. As noted by other users of this forum there are a few of us who have given up the long wait and purchased the Diesel SUVs that are available. If I can't get an order confirmed in the system by the end of the month that will be me as well. Been waiting since last August, can't go a year.

Outdated. The 2014 Cayenne diesel is not in either document but I was able to order one today. I don't believe it is government but Chrysler marketing. Good luck to you guys still in the waiting line.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

So you can't even price a 2014 RAM Truck, let alone with a Diesel.... How does CDJ not think there is a problem with this situation. Checked the Canadian site and it doesn't say anywhere about the "Late Availability" on the Diesel Grand Cherokee. Seeing as Mercedes sold over 60% Diesels in thier SUVs Last Year up there and now have the GLK in Diesel I wonder how many non-members of JG wonder where this thing is?

No having a happy happy evening.... No rainbows and bunny rabbits today!
