Not sure what you mean but the deal is: Invoice (including dest charge 995) - 7% plus $499.

So... (invoice)(.93) + $499 = cost of truck... then add tax, title...

If you use the invoice prices (truck plus options) in the first post of this thread and include the $995 dest charge you can tell exactly what you will pay.

That is a great deal. That is better than what I can get and I am getting EP.
My dealer fees are a little lower but you have still beat me by a few hundred dollars.

On the first post when I ran your numbers with my deal the difference came out to be exactly 995 which happened to be the amount of the destination charge. Those numbers didn't include the dealer charges. You must have got them to dig into hold back or found some additional incentives.

I didn't negotiate it... I'm just taking advantage as soon as I can order my EctoDiesel... There are somewhere around 15 or 20 people who have gotten the deal so far. Just have to get the truck in DC...

I think that it would cost me way more in gas than it would be worth.

Given the high cost airfair and fuel I would be spending close to 1000 to save 460. Which if I am not mistaken would put me in the hole. I will have to swallow my pride and admit that the DC group buy whipped up on me in terms of wheeling and dealing. I will just have to take solice in knowing that I stole my 2013 silverado.

My dad and I test drove a hemi limited today, very nice, Chrysler build quality still isn't quite there yet.

Jeep salesmen said that he could give us a limited v6 with 20" wheels, sunroof, and nav for $500 a month $0 down lease, at 10k miles a month for 36 months. Decent deal?

Jesus.

Well, we are in corrupt Cook county....but still, we should be getting a better deal. My dad has $500 a month to spend, REALISTICALLY what do you think he could shoot for?

There are a couple of Chicago area dealers that are vendors on this site. Search Chicago area group buy. Or, suggest calling a few dealers in Wisconsin, the economy sux up here so the dealers are more willing to deal.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I purchased the WJ used so when it comes to buying new vehicles I am in unfamiliar territory in that regard. I do know the basics on when to purchase a new car such as waiting more towards the end of the month when visiting the dealership, looking to get this years model towards the end of the year right before the next year models begin to ship out, knowing the invoice price etc.

My question is how much do customers normally pay for new Jeeps Grand Cherokees in comparison to the MSRP ticket price? I know that a lot of people look at the invoice as the lowest price a dealer will go to sell a car for which is not always true because there are also dealer incentives, rebates, holdbacks etc that still make a vehicle profitable even when sold at invoice price (depending on the manufacturer, vehicle model etc). I was curious in how that works with new Jeeps models because I may be looking for one shortly. So for instance the MSRP for a 2014 WK2 Limited is listed at $37,795 MRSP and an invoice price of $36,192 online so what price point would a majority of people actually pay when purchasing the vehicle?

A universal rule of thumb that I've heard was going for 3% above invoice was a pretty solid deal, but can we go lower?! lol
