Went through all of this in April. None of the online warranty dealers will give you a firm quote unless you give them a VIN number. They may give you a ballpark number, but they have to know you're a serious buyer with vehicle ownership before they will lock down the number. They are only protecting themselves against a price increase from Chrysler. I don't blame them because they are working with a pretty small margin, and depend on volume, and can get burnt with a losing quote.

Having said this, I printed out the quote I got online and took it to the business manager the day I picked up my vehicle and he matched it.

Yes that makes sense jacko,I wish I would've had the info available before I made the purchase now that I'm two weeks out I'm wondering what my options are. I did get a reply back from Ielger today which asks me to give a particular person a call which I'm going to do. I'm wondering if my dealer whom I bought from 2 weeks ago will do anything about the price or will I have to cancel the contract with them have them write me a check back for the full amount or give me a check for the difference between what I paid and what Ziegler is offering which is about a 550 dollar difference.

Could anyone give me an idea of what discount one could expect if a 100% cash offer was made with no trade involved? I did this with my still running strong 1998 Dodge minivan and received a $750 discount below EP pricing. I think Chrysler could still make a profit with a 20% below MSRP discount with CANADIAN pricing that us poor saps up here have to endure .

So, not all dealers in Florida are dishonest or conveniently uneducated.
I don't mean to generalize by calling ALL Fla dealers "slime". It is just that I have not found any yet! But I have not given up looking as there are poor sales people trying to make a living and I would like to help the Fla economy. Having said the above, Since my State will get the sales tax anyway, I have to consider my OWN economy first.

I did the same thing. My dealer matched the online offering with no questions asked. It pays to have a straight dealer

Go to CarMax - Browse used cars and new cars online

Look up new 2014 JGC'S. They show invoice pricing. Check the invoice pricing with page 1 here to be thorough. Look at their bottom line price. Calculate the percentage off Invoice. I got calculated 3.5% discount off Invoice; this is their "no-haggle" bottom line price. They do not negotiate, they just have the lowest prices. You can get your trade in appraised at your local CARMAX and then go to their Jeep dealer in GA.

In Canada, I have no idea what to expect. But the percentages off invoice should be comparable in Canada assuming the same dealer incentives and holdback, your just starting with a higher invoice price. I'm sure the Canadian laws are different; there may be no dealer incentives or hold back allowed or something that explains the markup. Dealer expenses may be higher in Canada; the laws regarding employee benefits come in to play. In Canada a car dealership might need to pay for a fathers paid leave from work when his wife has a baby. Chrysler will set the MSRP based upon, in part, dealer expenses.

I don't know if there is affiliate pricing in Canada. But that could be a way to go.

Thanks 1973 , but carmax pertains to the U.S. only I believe (asking for a zipcode) and I already have EP pricing. I was just wondering if all cash,no financing would be benificial to the bottom line in this day and age other than having to pay no finance charges.

I don't know about Canada but I got MSRP 41675 to 37302 plus a 495 dealer fee. On special order dealer has NO floor plan cost provided prompt delivery o buyer. If dealer is working on a out of town buyer he may be just trying 3% hold back and get his volume up to future rebates from C.
He picks up a few $ on delivery fee as he really does not pay the 995 and if he can sell some add on's maybe a few more.

One does know why a dealer would take such a low deal but I am sure he has his reasons. IMHO anything around 7% is a good deal

Actually it is quite the contrary. The dealer usually makes money financing with independent spiffs being offered by Chrysler Financial,Ally, IDL, etc.. Now a days buying for cash doesn't really get you the best deal. They love it when you finance.

Destination charge is factored into the dealers invoice price. They do pay this fee just not the entire amount. This is a FACTORY fee not a dealer fee..

Also, my feeling because of increasing Loan Rates, a 3% loan for 5 or 6 years is a good deal. Even with cash I'm going to take out a loan. Odds are, I will do better in the Stock Market / Bond Market than 3%. I was quoted 2.3% in May. I can only lock in for two months. Which means when I am a month from delivery I will probably lock in a rate. A dealer or other loan broker will only get to keep the loan kickback if you keep the loan for a year or some other predetermined time period.
