I installed aftermarket HIDs in my halogen projector housings and they work great, but not as good as the factory HIDs. Plus, you'd have a hard (if not impossible) time switching to the halogen assemblies as I believe the electrical architecture in the '14s is different between those two light assemblies.
Thanks Northland. My issue is with the design of the headlight housing and that narrow part. I do like the LED DRL which has a similar pattern as the tail LED lights. Decisions, decisions...

Igloo, I too had the same reservations at first, but now that I've seen them on the street, I think they look good. In fact, that's the main thing I look for when seeing a WK2 drive by, noting to myself - "there's another new one"! Just pull the trigger; I did, and like the others before me, I'm checking the build status repeatedly and counting the days 'till it's delivered!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I wanted the LED DRLs so rather than building a Limited to get them I went with the Overland.
I like the trend.
As mentioned many of us are waiting. I am still in the scheduled for production crowd so I have a long way to go...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Can anyone here give me an idea of how much the price of the GC has gone up since April?

Summit is 400.00. I purchased one with the CD player. Sticker was 52,190. Priced a new one without CD player week of Thanksgiving and it was 52,195, Add the CD player and it is 52,590. This is a Summit with the V6 (no V8, eco-diesel, or any other options). So, not a big increase, but an increase none the less. Haven't looked at other trim levels or priced them out.

As others have mentioned, it would be a costly to go "backwards" on the headlights. I, like you, don't like the LED daytime running lights ( somewhat biased since I have a limited without LUX). It still to me looks like an after thought. And while driving around today I realized that most car manufacturers are doing this trend and most are terrible; GMC, a Range Rovers ( yes, I said it) and Lexus. It seems the only ones I like are from Audi, and even some of their models LED daylight running lights don't look good ( it's like white Christmas lights year round)

I personally couldn't justify the Lux add-on. Got my sunroof, albiet smaller. Got my leather, albiet not the " labeled" diiferent type. But I actually wouldn't mind the vented seats ( not for $4,000 though).

The "basic" headlights look they belong there. Good luck with your choice, just tried to give you the other side of the coin.

It's worth it. I picked mine up at Koons and drove it home to Charlotte. The thread has drifted lately ( i'm guilty of a bit of that), but if you want a no hassle, time saving, easy process then check it out. I'm always on the road so in-person deal making is not always possible, but the DC Group Buy email process worked out just great.

Is anyone in NC and had any experience with any of the dealers around Raleigh/Durham? There are probably 10 dealers in the area. Two or three are large volume dealers and may be the best to approach to get a price below invoice. Just wanted to see if anyone has bought in the area and which dealer you were able to get the best price from. I'm not opposed to driving to Charlotte or southern VA as well to find a dealer willing to deal.
I bought my JGC diesel at Autopark jeep in Cary. 4.5% off invoice + $500 bonus cash; total 5.5% off.
