Well. In paint per email this morning. Funny thing the one I currently have also skipped framing. Hope that's not an omen!

Not an omen. VOTS does not update often and your Jeep will seem to magically drift through production. It is a unicorn so it goes with the territory.

Just brought it up for those who know what I have been through with my current Summit. 8 months of dealing with Gremlins has not been all that fun. The Wrangler I ordered that I had no issues with actually hit Framing on the first email. Both Summits beginning email started with paint

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Other than interior COLOR choices and the badge on the tailgate are there any differences at all between a Limited (with the Luxury package, ORA II, and navigation) and an Overland?

Just trying to see if I am overlooking anything. I like the black lower cladding on the Limited vs. the body color on the Overland.

Mesh grill?
Real wood?
Wood steering wheel?
Leather dash with stitching?

Non of which I am particularly fond of!

I would like the open pore wood trim and leather dash. I am indifferent on the wood wheel and mesh grill.

I guess I will be left swapping out the painted lower trim for the more stone resistant black.

Now if someone only had any idea whether stop/start would be coming to the diesel for the 2015 model year...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I'm sorry if this has been covered, but I'm pricing every 5.7L Overland's in stock in the Bay Area (about 44 of them within 120 miles of Central coast) for a trip to the dealer over the next couple of days. (BTW, almost 1/2 are Black, which is the one color that I'm 100% against buying )

I'm seeing some discrepancy between some of the option prices (and even a few on the base price) listed on the "Window Sticker" on the Jeep.Com site and that from Post #1 of this thread.

All of these are '14 Overland 4x4's and all 5.7L.

Most Notably, some, but not all of the 5.7L's are listing a Window Sticker price for the 5.7L @ $2695 instead of the $3195 on the original post of this thread. About 40% of the 5.7L's available that I've looked at the sticker for are still at $3195.

I also see both $195 and $295 for the Single CD Player Option instead of the listed $395, $1795 for the Advanced Tech Group instead of the posted $1995, $995 for a couple of the Off Road Adventure II packages. 3 (of the 30 that I've looked at so far) also have a base price of $45,995 instead of the posted (and most common) $46,195.

Here is one example of the $2695 5.7 and $295 CD Player and $1795 Adv Tech Group
http://www.chrysler.com/hostd/window...RJFCT9EC211930

While most of these prices are lower than posted, I'm good with that, but the question is how does this change the invoice price for these options as that's what I'm really going to pound the dealer on.

Thanks in Advance for any assistance or guidance you can provide.

The prices listed in post #1 of this thread are the most current, and reflect a variety of increases throughout the model year. The base MSRP price of the Overland was increased by $200.00 effective 5/31/2013. Prices for options have also increased along the way, and they are more difficult to follow as they are completely unannounced, and may contain changes in the equipment packages. Below are the changes for the Overland, with MSRP and Invoice pricing.

2014 Overland 4x4 - Price changes

MSRP - $45,995 ($43,736)
MSRP - $46,195 ($43,940) (05/31/13)

5.7L - $2,695 ($2,399)
5.7L - $3,195 ($2,844) (09/09/13)

CD - $195 ($174)
CD - $295 ($263) (05/31/13)
CD - $395 ($352) (09/09/13)

ORII - $995 ($886)
ORII - $1095 ($975) (09/09/13)

Tech Group - $1,695 ($1,509)
Tech Group - $1,795 ($1,598) (05/31/2013)
Tech Group - $1,995 ($1,776) (09/09/3013)

Thanks this helps... so is it safe to assume that if the Invoice price is not the most current ($2695 for the 5.7L for example) that the dealer invoice cost for that option is also the lower amount that you listed in parenthesis above ($2399 for example).

My Summit is now 9 months old and the current price would be $1200. more than what mine listed for back then. Prices have gone up.

That is a safe assumption.
