Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Hey all, not sure if this is the right thread to post in or not. New member here.

I'm interested in a JGC, but the particular model i'm after is just a Laredo E 4x4 with the offroad adventure group 1. there's no dealer anywhere near me that has such a model. plenty of Laredo Es with other packages but not that one. What is the best method to go about getting this? I'm willing to join the Tread Lightly program to get the affiliate discount but I want to make sure I'll actually be able to get the specific model I want. I'm in Kentucky but willing to drive a few hundred miles to get it done.

As an aside, the reason I'm looking at the JGC is that I read on a carseat blog that it will seat 3 child seats across the back. I've got three kids and I don't want to have to cram two of them in a 3rd row. Is it realistic to have a JGC as the kids get older and transition out of infant seats and into boosters?

Thanks all
C

ps If I'm in the wrong thread just let me know

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Just made a huge impulse buy and left a deposit for a slightly used 2014 Overland with 5k on the odometer. It's Bright White V6 with the Blue/Indigo Brown interior and the Advanced Tech package. Total cost was 39k +ttl.
Was contemplating buying a new limited with all the options but this seemed like to good a deal to pass up.

I guess it depends on what they were selling it for but you should love it anyway.

That you're comfortable with the deal is what matters. Hope you enjoy it.

The best way for you to get exactly what you want is to place a factory order in that particular configuration. Do be aware that sometimes you have to accept some things you may not really want to get something you do want...certain packages are tied together. Run the "configurator" on the Jeep website to see if you can price out a Larado E fitted the way you describe above.

As to the three car seats abreast...do a little more research. Very, very tight fit.

Koons Tyson Corner showing factory rebates?

Im looking at Summits on Koons website and I a seeing a $4,000 cash back rebate on their site I didn't see yesterday -- is this something new or does it not matter? It also mentions a $500 cash offer and the financing offers:

Manufacturer Offer* $4,000 cash back on select Jeep Grand Cherokee models

  1. $4,000 cash back
  • Customer Bonus Cash
Offer only valid 2-04-2014 through 3-03-2014

* Disclaimer(s)
  • IDL Bonus Cash is available towards leasing. Offer is NOT combinable with lease contracts financed through Ally Financial or US Bank. See dealer for details. (See Trims)
  • See State Disclaimer *

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Just put down a deposit for my Maximum Steel Limited with Lux II and Nav, 4x4. $39,750 plus tax.

They gave me an extra $1000 on my trade as to what I was expecting, so Im happy with the deal. I was going to go with the Group Buy pricing in DC, but this dealership is right down the road, and I dont have to worry about the trade in price if I were to drive down 4 hours for the group buy.

Its gonna be a long 6 weeks!

Hi all!

New to the forum....looking to buy my first Jeep!

The wife and I recently started looking for new cars and have found ourselves, after a test drive, really liking the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

We went yesterday and drove a Limited with Uconnect, single CD, and 20" wheels. The dealer was asking $37,200. The number didn't seem right so we thanked them for their time and left.

We'd like a....
Limited 4x2
Lux Group II
20" wheels
Sun roof

Could be talked into an Overland 4x2 if the price is right.

Anyone had any luck with similar purchases around the San Antonio Texas area (Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels)? I've read about a group buy from a Houston dealer. How does that work?

Thanks for any and all help!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

If you're that close to Houston (I'm in NW Austin), seriously consider the Texas group buy, and order what you want. Or at least check the pricing.

It's by far the easiest car-buying experience you'll have, no b.s. at all just a great price and great people to work with. Go to the group thread and ask for someone to PM you the contact information. If I can PM yet, heck I'll send it to you.

I couldn't get local dealers to do more than about $1500 off sticker and it was a time sink to get anywhere. Screw them, an email quote via the group buy, a $25 subscription to Tread Lightly , a credit card deposit to the dealer and it was a done deal. 5 weeks from order date to driving it home. Cost savings? Mine was a Limited V6 4 x 4 with tow package, right at $40k list, was $36 and change plus TTL.
