Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I apologize if someone has explained this elsewhere, but I can't seem to find it...

When Milious posted his MSRP, they are in the following format (for a 4x4 Overland):

"Overland 4X4 - $46,195 ($43,940) + $995 destination"

The first numbers is the MSRP, but what is the number in parenthesis? Is that the invoice price? Does that include the destination charge?

What would be a good price to pay including the destination charge and dealer fee for a standard Overland 4x4?

Thank you!
CW

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

In the market for a 2014 JGC Overland 4x4 V6. I've found some at a dealership priced at $43,585 ($47,585 MSRP) along with $399 Doc, $299 Window Tint, & $39 Nitrogen. I asked why they were able to discount it so much, and they said they were a volume dealer which is why they were able to do that. Thoughts on this deal?

Still looking at the new 4Runner's as well. I love the new JGC, but after reading about all the issues makes me second guess myself!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Now i'm really kicking myself. I believe they started driving today. I put down a $3000 deposit on it already. Oh and picked up the check from the bank today for when I pick it up this week. I think I'm getting sick to my stomach...

The question is..Did you sign anything?? The check doesn't have to be cashed on the financing for that vehicle and you should be able to get your money back?? Press the issue of the vehicle being used in your opinion since its been driven all those miles and be firm. That may be your out.

Excellent if you haven't signed anything and all they have is a credit card deposit tell them you're no longer interested in a USED vehicle that's been driven 600 miles. And don't fall for the old line of well it's new because its never been titled. Go to the dealer get your deposit back and if they resist dispute it with your credit card company and get the heck outta there. They will obviously try to sway you towards that vehicle they're driving in..eating lunch in and farting in for 600 miles but don't fall for it or any other vehicle on their lot. They're a lot of opportunities on this forum where you can save lots of cash and get a new vehicle. Trust your intuition and run not walk away.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Im sure its on the forum here. But even with the Summit Diesel with bluray and engine block heater, people are still getting 4-5% below invoice? I was obviously way too naive when talking to the dealer, it seemed like a rare combination to find, and made it harder to go below MSRP (or what should have been invoice). I felt like $2500 below invoice wasn't bad, but obviously it was horrible. Thanks again for all the advice, as much as this hurts...

And can someone send me the info on the Texas group buy? I would like to contact them and see what I could get. I looked up the info on the deposit, looks as though they can't keep it unless something is signed, so I should be able to get out of it.

Are you saying 56,200 out the door?

Yes bdavis, you can do tremendously better on that vehicle with no miles driven on it. Go get your deposit in the morning and let us know how it went. Walk in get your deposit refunded and walk out.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

From all the options and setup I listed, what do you think the reasonable price should have been for something new?

Having a non diesel 2014 V8 overland I'm unsure of what the group buys are doing on the pricing but it is much better then what most dealers are offering by far. Check the thread for the diesels my friend I'm sure you'll find some very useful info and then you can spend your money at a dealer who appreciates your business.
