2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

The price in parentheses is the invoice price. Add the invoice price of the base model you want to order, and add the invoice price of all the options you want. Add $995 destination fee, and this will give you the invoice price delivered. Aim for 5.5% below invoice (before you add the destination fee). If you can't find a dealer who comes close to this, there is a Texas group buy and a DC group buy. Well worth the trip for the savings. PM if you want info on the Texas group buy.

Just sayin I found that site very helpful Most of the info is actually free and it explains what makes up the invoice better than anything else I've seen on the web. The $40 package is only if you want info on a specific brand and vehicle along with their method for purchasing a new vehicle. We'll worth the 40 bucks

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Sorry to butt in with a new thread and with a topic that I know has been hashed through before. I looked but couldn't find the discussion in a search.

Just went through a 3,700 mile oil change with the uConnect saying that expected oil life was only at 2% remaining. I am guessing that others have had this experience, despite the OM saying that we should expect roughly 10,000 miles between oil changes.

Driving is mixed long and short typical suburban driving. No biodiesel and not much idling. So I am wondering if this will be the norm, if it is just new engine break in, or if the computer is off. A neighbor has an X5 that also is supposed to get 10,000 miles between oil changes and their computer also told them to change it at 3,000. It turns out that the computer had a glitch and the problem was solved with a software upgrade instead of an oil change. I have had multiple software/firmware upgrades to the uConnect radios since I have purchased it and several have made a significant difference. Thats all, just wondering if this is the norm for everyone.

Not for me. At 5,020 miles, almost all long highway trips in non-frigid temperatures and 1,200 towing, my oil life says 50% remaining.

Thanks for the heads-up. Do you have a definite list of 2015 changes yet?

My oil life remaining has been very typical. I have done all sorts of different driving. I would say first, Uconnect isn't what registers remaining oil life, that is a separate function, I believe, with the reading in the evic. And secondly, was the oil life indicator reset after the oil change? Quite often that is the case.

Just realized that I posted this on the wrong thread. Thanks for responding anyway. Yes, it was the EVIC and not the uConnect that said 2% oil life remaining. I didn't get a warning, as I believe the owners manual says we should when limited life is left. It was just me keeping an eye on the EVIC reading.

This was actually my first oil change, so the indicator being reset should not have been a factor. Have not really been using it for trailering, have not been using biofuel, and have not been doing anything out of the unusual. The first oil change at the dealer was on the house, so that was not a factor. I was just surprised at the difference between projected and actual life of the oil.

Also, I know this has been covered before, getting around 19mpg in mixed highway and start stop traffic. Living in South Jersey, I really don't know if the stations are using the thinned down winter diesel, that gets worse MPG, or not. We really don't need that version here, but maybe they do it anyway for the vehicles that head north from here.
