Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Well my afternoon was ruined....called the dealer to cancel my order. The Overland is too much money. I knew I was cutting it close, but the invoice price is to high for me to afford it. Bummer.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

I'm trying to decide between a summit and an overland, I know that you can't get the premium audio on the overland, but I can't get the ~4,600 difference in base price to make sense. Even with you add the advanced technology and the quadra drive II to the overland there is still a big gap in base price increase (4600 overland to Summit base price difference) - 1509(AD Tech) - 708(QDII) = 2217 for the premium audio package ) Does this make sense what am I Missing ?

What were you expecting? It didn't really change much from what everyone was expecting based off of MSRP. Its pretty much in-line. Why don't you edit your order to a Limited... you can save about $7k if you don't add to many options.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Does anyone know what the material is for the lighter parts at the bottom of the Summit? Is it plastic or painted metal? Could it be painted to match the vehicle color? This is the only part I am not liking on the Summit and would love for it to match the body color.

Most of it is a styling choice... I wouldn't be too concerned about the stereo, I'm sure the one on the overland is still very nice... unless you want to be "thuggin" -- if ya know what I mean.

I'm pretty sure it's plastic and could be painted.

I'm going with the granite exterior color which should eliminate the need to paint those parts since I don't like this contrast either.

My total with options and tax, but excluding title and tags, is $47,548. With a net, after payoff, on my trade of just over $31,000 I'm a happy camper.
Pricing out my Overland with the CRD nets me right around $49,106 which is about $2,000 over where I wanted to be. Decisions, decisions... if I drop back to a loaded Limited with CRD that's about $46,000.

But with the Limited I don't get the gorgeous seats!!!

Adaptive headlights
Headlamp washers
Front Park Assist
19 Speaker system
Chrome... LOTS of Chrome

Keep in mind, the Summit loses:
Tow Hooks
Selec-Speed Hill Ascent Control (which, I believe is a CRD only option)
ORA2 pack (Skid Plates and Badge)
