I captured this from a video of, i think the indigo interior.
Look at the way the color of the wood looks different, because of the light, I think; over by the vent looks black while by the door handle it looks nice and woody. Since it is natural wood some variation in color is normal.

Here is the awesome You tube video:

I think the pricing was confirmed as "official".... if I had to guess they still have the old pricing, and not the new pricing Milous posted today...dealers are generally pretty stupid.

Nice find! Light makes a difference and even on the part that is illuminated, you can still see some black lines in it.

Keep in mind though that the Summit comes with a different kind of wood. Based on the posted information, the Overland with indigo comes with "Brown Zebrano open-pore wood" while the Summits have "Summit Brown open-pore wood".

But don't ask me about any details what this actually means...

I hadn't noticed that. Zebrano or Zebra Wood is an actual wood like oak, pine, etc. Summit Brown is not an actual wood. My best guess is it is the same wood with maybe a different stain.

What's people's thoughts on the open-pore wood, looks like it might be a little too easy to scratch/damage and might not hold up well to high temps and sunlight.

A local dealer here I've been talking to has taken to pinging me for info as (due to Milous, Marlon, Chevy and Pat) I seem to have more accurate info way before they do.

I passed the updated pricing info along that Milous updated the first page with this morning and they about had a stroke. Wanted to know how I was getting the info...

...I gave them the link long ago...

I hope it's not like the teak on a boat which needs to be stripped, sanded and revarnished periodically. I just sold my boat.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

The "open-pore-ness" of it gives it a bit of an unfinished look as opposed to the glossy finish you would normally get from wood that's been primed and sealed. Just concerned that it won't hold up to the pressures of day to day use being baked and blasted with UV rays. At least it's real wood and not some moulded plastic with a wood grain look.

I have confidence that Jeep knows what they are doing by offering that wood. If it wouldn't be long lasting, they would shoot themselves into the foot.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing

Ok, so for the Laredo E, is it $32,495 plus delivery and destination, or is the $995 in that, because some people are saying it is included already, I just want to be sure when the dealer gives me the official number it is the correct number.
