No major interior/exterior changes for 2013 or 2014 Compass; 2014 models though will get new transmission.

Wonder if you'd be able to retrofit the LEDs from a 2014 on the 2011-2013s...

I hope they will have full LED taillights which also includes the turn signals and backup lights. Some others only have LED's for the taillights and brake lights. They use an old fashioned bulb for the turn signals and back up lights to cut costs.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee spy pictures

Can get plenty of air from the high pressure area under the bumper. Grille just becomes an aerodynamic syling element (seven slots are trademark like squared wheel wells). Suspect the three vertical slots might disappear, are not needed.

Does need a reduction in cd, down to at least .33 to get cdA under 10.

The new grill reminds me of Jack from jack in the box. You know, when he is serious.

This is probably one of those things that will look better when it is not camouflaged or when you see it in person.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee spy pictures

If the GC would get the Compass or SRT8 grill that would really be a step back. The front needs something bold. I would really consider to buy a 2013 GC if the 2014 cannot be fitted with the nice flat grill of the current model. If you look at the spyshots there is the good chance that they will adapt the grill to what you find on the compass or the SRT.

If someone knows more about the changes to the grill (milous?) I would really appreciate your comments!

I share your concern regarding the possible changes. Initial releases tend to be my preference—pre-2012 300 for example—from a coherent styling standpoint. The bold chrome grille sets off the front appropriately for a vehicle with its off road heritage. I cannot tell much about the LED placement or anything else from these shots, but some seem to have the SRT hood while others have the regular hood. In a couple of the pictures, I could be convinced I see what may be the LED just above the "smile" arc, but that's a reach. Undoubtedly, more photos will be taken as January draws closer. We still haven't seen any suggestion of the rear changes, either. Either way, since it's CRD or nothing for me, I have no choice but to wait.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee spy pictures

Hey guys, I'm new here but i have a few questions;
It isn't known how exactly the 2014 GC is gonna look but is it really going to be available in the market by FEB 2013?
Another thing, we all know that the transmission was swapped with a new 8 speed from ZF, but does anyone know the hp and torque gains? if any......

Thanks.

The zf 8 hp 30 can handle 300 NM of torque gas or diesel
the zf 8 hp 45 can handle 450 gas 500 diesel
zf 8 hp 70 can handle 700 gas and 700 diesel. This the one for the diesel and the hemi I believe.
