I don't really care about the color. A couple of 1034 or 1157 bulbs are ok with me. I just wish more people would use the darn things!

Exactly right. Amber turn signals are ugly. I wouldn't buy a car with them, unless they were LEDs and clear.

I find it funny that people care about Amber turn signals in a set of brake lamps that aren't even LED for the brakes, the LEDs are only running lights. If you want to improve safety via rear end lighting, the studies have proven LED brakes lamps to provide a significant decrease in stopping distance because they light up faster.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Taillights

Are the brake lights on the 2014 Overland LED, or just the taillights?

None of the 2014 Grand Cherokees have LED brake lights.

[QUOTE=rubicontrail.net;802026]The uniform color looks better.

My guess would be aesthetics AND expense.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Taillights

Human eyes detect blinking/movement much easier than steady. Always likes sequential lights.

As to foglights, when needed, I do not want the headlights on, the height above gound is the problem. Why not just interlock with headlights so is eaither/or. Seems simple to me.

Not sure how that would work where you are in and out of fog as you travel over hill and dale.

On my F250 Ford Truck and Cadillac, you can turn the fog lights on with just the parking lights. I have done this a couple of times in fog on my country road with no traffic. It does help a bit in dense fog but I wouldn't do it on a major highway when in traffic. Not even sure if it is legal. I havn't tried it with my GC limited, but I think it will work if you switch to "manual" and just put the parking lights on with fog light button pushed in. Al

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Taillights

So the rear lights only have LED for the driving lights, not brake OR Turn ?
I am also surprised that they are not amber for turn as everywhere else int he world uses amber for turn/hazard.
Do all cars have red turn, or do the Euro/Jap cars use amber ?
