Re: 2014 HID in fogs...
I can tell you that the Rigid Industries D2 Dually installation required me to find a "hot" 12v wire under the center console to power them independently. The positive post under the hood mimicked the CANBUS "flickering" and nothing else worked.
I had HID's in both head and fog for some time on my 12'. The headlights would eventually flicker and one would die, even with the retrofit resource dual relay harness. I'd get good performance for 3 months, then I'd be under the hood playing with them again. I never got these to work independently on the same power source as the Rigid lights.
Solution this round was to get factory xenon headlights. Ill screw around with these factory projector fogs a little. I had a spare set of 4300k H11 HID's with error cancelers in the garage, and I just ordered H11 LED's from both KB and V-Leds already.
I like the performance of the HID kits, but I just can't keep playing with them until the masses can verify they are not just "plug and pray".
Now its time to play with my "taillight solutions" halogen rear fogs. I hope these dont cause such a headache.
