Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

My only hope is they will reincorporate the flipper glass if it comes out next year...also with all these problems being reported and recalls coming up it's probably best to wait.

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

What gives? If I knew I was going to have to wait this long, I would have bought a 2013 Trailhawk! I really want the 8 speed auto though. If I don't hear something soon, it might be time to just build one!

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

Husker', I suspect you'll want to consider that build since it's still doubtful that any special editions will be offered anytime "real soon now"...

Of course, natural laws will dictate that as soon as you are hot and heavy in your own build, they will release one from the factory. At least others will benefit from your work that way.

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

Wheels, tires, winch, and rock rails no problem. Quadra-lift should get me up high enough for where I want to go. Locking rear and ELSD up front would be nice though, and I don't really want to go messing with that on a brand new Jeep.

No offense to Cherokee owners, but I can't believe they used the Trailhawk name there. Trailhawk II doesn't do it for me, but I would live with it if they would just release it - soon!!!!!!!

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

I'm with you. It's getting old not hearing things. There's hints that it's coming out, then there's hints of it not coming out, then there's more hints of it coming out, then nothing at all. I wish they would just let us know one way or another. I still haven't heard from any of my dealers if they've taken delivery on any diesels yet. The "latest" promise was that they were going to be here the first week of October. Didn't happen. Many many many delays and set-backs. Not very impressed with this release at all.

I'd probably love it if it came out soon but it's VERY discouraging hearing about many of the problems so far with the re-fresh & that's not even the diesel yet. I'm afraid that it could be a really bad set-up with the 8-speed. Just me being pessimistic is all...but they haven't given us much to go on so far have they?

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

For this particular SE, I doubt it's going to get going until the "regular" market intro of the Ecodiesel gets completed and things are moving smoothly. They need that base to be available to build the TH-II if it's going to be like the demonstration units.

Current JGC no longer offers the ELSD up front. :-(

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

Sorry, no new information on the Trailhawk. There is some plant "activity" scheduled in January, but not sure what sort of model this may be for.

Thanks Milous for giving us the update. It's more difficult waiting and not knowing anything.
If there's nothing in the mix it's time that I start looking at getting new tires before winter hits hard. I was hoping to hold off and not get tires and trade mine in with racing slicks. I now have 88,000 on my GY SAs. I wonder if racing slicks would up the trade-in value. I don't see that option on edmunds or kbb.
