Question 2014 JGC Overland ACC install

Hey guys,

Probably a really dumb question but I was wondering if it is possible to install ACC if I did not get this option in the factory. Unfortunately, when I bought my new JGC a month ago it did not have this feature and I would like to get it installed if possible. If it is possible any idea what the cost to get this installed would be?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Thanks,

Jason

Just a guess here, but there is so much to the tech pkg. I would think it would be cost prohibitive from both a time and money standpoint. Wait till you can order a 2015, and get a new one with it next year? Good luck, as I know my post probably didnt contribute much except my opinion .....

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately I already bought my 2014 JGC. I am trying to price out how much it will cost to get this installed.

Re: 2014 JGC Overland ACC install

My guess is $5k-$10k+ It would be cheaper to trade out of yours and into one with the ACC.

Wow, I had no idea this option/feature was that expensive. What package is that feature a part of?

Re: 2014 JGC Overland ACC install

The issue is installing the feature after the fact. Its part of the Advanced Tech Package, the package is under $2k and includes other features, but installing it aftermarket means buying all the parts, wiring harnesses, computer modules, control pads for the steering wheel, etc, and then installing it into the vehicle, disassembling and reassembling certain areas, etc.

I bet the sensor itself is over $2k.

Like I said, better to just trade it in and get one with this feature if you want it.

Re: 2014 JGC Overland ACC install

I had to have the ACC sensor replaced under warranty on my 2012 and the sensor alone was $1600. Yikes!

Yea, this would be a major, major job to retrofit. Not practical including financially.
