Thanks Benn0, your rig looks great as well.

What type of rack and or rails do you have them attached to?

That's an Australian rack by uneek:

WK2 Grand Cherokee roof rack

A bit similar to a Gobi rack, it replaces the chrome rails to increase capacity.

The racks that mount the maxtrax are called traxrax:

Re: 2014 JGC Overland Off-road mod suggestions

I have the shorter TREDs. They fit in the trunk just fine. I have several iCOM F-21 UHF radios that split duties between hunting and car trips.

Re: 2014 JGC Overland Off-road mod suggestions

UPDATE:

Since I started thread I wanted to give update on purchases, here is what I have done so far (prices are included solely to give members idea of component costs and how quickly this stuff adds up)

Bubbarope original 30', 28,600 lb. $185.00
Bubbarope shackles- 2 $ 47.00 total
RRO 3 piece skid plates. $537 ordered
RRO Supersliders. $459 ordered
Chief Products sump cover $369AUD ordered
Chief products tranny cover $269AUD ordered
Both sump and tranny cost $653USD with shipping
Treds recovery ramps - 2 sets, with attachment $395 ordered
Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 275/55/20 $1,019 to be installed next week

Next up:

Hi-lift
Chief products front cover - WK2 Lower Front Guard or wait for Pre- running plate to come out est.- $900
RRO Roof Rack/Rails
Yakohama wind diffuser 44” for RRO rails - $85
RRO Bumper/Brush bar combo/winch bracket/lights etc $913
( I am concerned about ACC disruption so needing to further think about this, but I love the look, but love fully functional ACC more.)

Not sure if I want winch yet but RRO winch brace will give me option in future.

I went with Treds over Maxtrax solely due to cost, I got 4 model 1100 Treds delivered for 40% less than four MaxTrax. Reviews show Maxtrax may hold up better but for my mild mud I think these will ne fine, if one does break I still have three plus lifetime warranty to get replaced. Reviews on Treds are overall positive so I think I will be fine.

I will look to learn to use hi-lift as winch until I decide to get winch.

I'll report back from time to time on updates. I can't wait for G2's to be put on, will do separate review on these tires, I am both excited and nervous as OEM Forters have been very good tire.

Gonna be empty nester with son going off to college, so I'm getting ready to do a lot of fly fishing in remote areas, usually alone. Funny thing is I have a few hundred worth of fishing gear and $5k of jeeps mods coming to get me there Maybe the fishing is just excuse to myself to get mods

Before and after tires pics will be first.

Re: 2014 JGC Overland Off-road mod suggestions

Ordered the Treds recovery ramps, decided on these over MaxTrax due to cost. A pleasant surprise is that the Treds fit in rear cargo area of JGC width wise so not need to mount on top or have angled taking up more space. With rear seats up these will not fit length wise.

Yeah, the 1100 are a more manageable size. Take something to put under them when they get muddy.
