Yes, yes only your evaluation is valid - I forgot. Customers know nothing, their opinions are worthless, and they should just learn to love what ever is sold to them.

You also once posted the number 47 with problems on a thread.

It does not surprise me that only one has been replaced as most dealers keep telling customers their transmission is functioning normally. If you set the definition of normal low enough you can probably say they are all good.

I would suggest you reread the results of the poll.

When I was a young engineer several decades ago I met a British engineer with a jaguar. He had a bumper sticker on his beloved car that said something like "All the parts that fall off this car are made of the finest British Craftsmanship". We are clearly heading down that path with the attitudes expressed here.

What? I think your bumper sticker should say I'm old and ****ing grumpy. Seriously though man why? Most people here are just trying to help each other out why get all nasty. I think Willx wants to be a customer though lol

You clearly don't understand this. Do you really think its possible to get an internet poll thats says everyone is happy? You need to look at the other factors that play into the poll. I'm not going to explain it again because you just don't get it and I don't think your going to.

Re: 2014 JGC Transmission Survey

What I find interesting about this poll is that almost 43% of V6 owners are not 100% satisfied with the performance of their 8 speed transmission (including me). They're either switching out of "ECO" mode, or are having shifting issues in either mode.

Quite high don't you think? Especially since the majority of 2014 Grand Cherokees on the roads will have V6s.

My transmission is acting terribly wrong now !
Whenever I start my car ( after a colder night) I hear a terrible clunk noise ! ( new problem)...
To add to my concerns , I have no speedometer anymore since this morning ( just a simple needle ) no number around the dial !!!.
But then again I should shut up and thank you Chrysler ! It s ok, my car is amazing , your're the best ! And I feel like I real customer....
F@$&&! That shit !! This is terrible...horrible, I don't even understand why people complain about all their problems and feel its ok !!! Why ??? You're ok with the fact your ditching 40-60k on a car that's totally unacceptable ??! Come on !!!!! Stop drinking the cool aid ! Chrysler should NOT continue to sell these cars ( gc2014). Do you really think they're not aware of all these issues ???? It's called risk management ! Because they dully know it won't cost then much , because no one will ever bring it further than the dealership....
Wake up and smell the coffee ....
And yes I am from Canada and I am pushing the matter to higher authorities... I am still waiting an official reply from Chrysler thru my lawyer.... I can guarantee you I won't drop the case...money is no issue...trust me....

I bought my jeep with an employee price ! I belong to a big corporation ( special discounts)and so f,r trust me , jeep bought themselves a free marketing campaign , sponsorised..... by ME !!!!
As long as they won't acknowledge my concerns, fix my problems, I can assure you they will loose further sales...

You rant very well ... Applause!

But if you are going to rant, you should at least let us know what your dealer did to try to correct the problems.

If money doesn't matter, why not just move on and buy another car.

I think it was Ben Franklin (could be wrong on that) who said;

"When a man claims it's not the money it's the principle, you can be damn sure it's the money"

Just sayin'

Bill_de,

The reason I bought the jeep ( as a second car ) is for the ride. Reviews were greatly favourable, and I loved the car. Driving it for 2000 miles now, proves me the opposite. This car is plain wrong , lacks in quality , and above all , MINE is totally unreliable !!!'. Was it a lemon ?? Maybe , nevertheless I will sell it in a heart beat. Now I can't , because I am in simply interested in having a fair conclusion with jeep. And for the money part, sure, you maybe right, because believe it or not , i feel bad for those you can't barely ditch 50k for a car ( that's a lot of money ) , get massive line of credit to afford themselves their "dream SUV" as they might think.
What I meant ( badly worded) , is that Chrysler might think I will drop the case ( as most people will do for money reasons ) but I won't ....it's plain wrong to sell an unfinished product to hard American workers....

BTW, first and last American car I have ever driven.....
Is it the same for Ford, GM, not sure.... But like I've mentioned on another post, jeep is definitely not in the big league !!
The Grand cherokee might serve a "niche" clientele,it's a great looking truck, but please , let's not compare it to higher end Europeans and some Japanese models as some car critics may do....it's unfair.....
