So I have a 2011 and 2014 WK2 and the car wash here pulls the car through and one of their safety rules is the car has to be in neutral and turned off.

The 2011 all I have to do is pull the start button and put the key in and they can get the car in neutral while off...

The 2014 does not have the ability to pull the button out. Is there any way to get the car in neutral while not running?

I searched for a bit and could not come up with the right combo of words to get a result that helped....

I'm pretty darn sure the 2014's start button comes out to allow you to use the key. Why else would the key be apart of the remote...

And that's silly that they make you shut the vehicle off. I run mine through a well known car wash all the time, I never turn it off though.

The start button does not come out. The key is strictly an emergency or valet key.

Key Fob — If Equipped:

The Key Fob also contains the Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) transmitter and an emergency key, which stores in
the rear of the Key Fob.

The emergency key allows for entry into the vehicle
should the battery in the vehicle or the Key Fob go dead.
You can keep the emergency key with you when valet
parking.

To remove the emergency key, slide the mechanical latch
on the face of the Key Fob sideways with your thumb and
then pull the key out with your other hand.

(2014 owners manual pg. 14)

As for placing hte vehicle in neutral, have you tried to place the vehicle in "run" mode and then shift to neutral?

Can't put it in neutral first then turn the Jeep off?
